800 CFI Piston "rocking" "slap"

Hey guys.
Do any of you know if Polaris has corrected the problem they have with piston slap?
Or what the best solution is for this?
I would very much like a solution were I don't have to use a aftermaked fuel- controler.

Lots of different "fix" kits out there for the engine.. IndyDan, RKT, PAR, MTNTK to name a few. Quick search will give you lots of threads comparing them although no threads will give you a definitive answer on which is best...

Basically read up on all the different kits and decide which YOU like.

My 2011 blew up yesterday. Not sure what yet ,but lots of fluids in bellypan.2500 miles on it.I had put rkt direct replacement pistons in about 700 miles ago.It had been making a strange noise part time last ride.

What year of Pro do you have? I have a rkt drop in kit that doesnt need a fuel controller that would really help the piston slop

Yes, they've made significant improvements since the PRO chassis in 2011. You're fine, no worries. Now, if you want an improvement over stock, I recommend the RK Tek drop in kit:

Running the RK Tek drop in kit in my 12 and I'm pleased.

Hey Bajah, what kind of fluids were in the belly pan? Oil or coolant? No case chunks?

Get that thing apart, take some pictures of what you find create a new post. Very interested in seeing what you find.

I went with MTNTK for my piston kit simply because they have been doing it the longest, and their kit is well proven. I can tell you my 13 pistons were flopping around just like my buddies 11... hard to understand why polaris still does this.
