7 ft base in STEWART BC

shovels.
i guess people use them to shovel out. I'm not a big fan and my shovel stays in my pack.
I got tennis elbow from yankin skis all week. its been retarded deep.
Snowcat did it's first run of the year yesterday. from camp to dago hill and back
-5 in town and -10 on the mtn. Not getting the crazy outflows too bad, Peaks are windy, but still ultra epic in the protected areas down lower. lots of pillow punchers, and tech wiggles just to manoove.

3 whistler folks were stuck at the cabin for 6 days.
They tried to come out on day 4 and got stranded in the deep snow. exhausted, they dug a snow cave spent the night in the deep snow, and thought they would die. next day went back tracking to the cabin for warmth and a regroup.
We broke trail yesterday to the cabin and got them out on day 6. Ya I'm a hero. Also was 1st on scene in an avy last week. dug the guy out. avys suck. stay off the hills people. jib. rip pow. GO HOME at the end of the day.

side note:
night life was off the hook last night. Never seen kajos that ripping in my life.
can't wait till team pem shows up.
Everyone else:
it sucks here. no pow, crowded, and expensive. beat it.

Sorry can't share the vids yet. I need the latest version Final cut pro software for video. I don't have it. I can't even watch what i've shot so far. This sucks. Saving up my $1300 for the software right now.
My new panasonic camera shoots 60 Frames per second and the software to handle it is spendy.
I'll be sharing vids when i get it.
Hope soon.

at the lodge till new years.
But we are perty much booked up.

Went up this afternoon. Massive temperature inversion. Cold in the valleys and warmer up on the peaks.
Alpine has now been wind hammered. So only good snow is way down low in the trees.

Shreddog were are the updates and pics! Do you have so much snow you can't dig yourself out of the house.LOL If those pemberton boys are there maybe you can show those p u s s i e s how to ride.

A meter and a half of fresh in the last day or two Ray. standard stewart storm. 12-15 ft of base. no pics sorry. Pemberton boys are here and destroying the pow (and the sleds).
just in case you forgot down there. Sledding is fun!

simple solution, download it now then buy it when you can afford it.

If I'm doing my math right (and I'm probably not) that's only 66"

Ya you missed the class on snow water equivalant. If you melt a column of snow that how high the water would be. So depending on the density of the snow you can multiply the SWE by between 5 and 10 to get the depth of snow. 1700 mm swe is between 8500 and 17000mm of snow or 8.5 to 17 meters of snow.

Thats a lot.

There will be a lot of snow in Stewart this time of year i would just call the lodge and ask them, and if you have'nt been there i would get a guide if you can the terrain there is pretty crazy and lots of avy's you could end up with 66" on your vehicle overnight up there.
