600 Pro vs. 800 Pro

Had a 2011 800 SBA. I rode a 2012 600 Pro RMK last year and on a 2013 600 Pro RMK this year(have yet to put a mile on it).

The "old" 600 and the 2012 up 600s are apples and oranges. I never once said I wish I had an 800 with the new 600s.

Ride both and see what you like.

Its all about your egos. Some need an 800 and a 163 to do what they do and some don't. The 8 does have more power but my riding in the trees always leads to scrubbing off the 8's. Open hills any idiot can pin a flipper to the bar and climb straight up but thats the only time you are going to see a difference from 6 to 8. Just lost another 800 with only 550 miles. Rod put hole through case and now time for a new motor.

Go ride them both if you can. Don't let people justify their purchases to you. I haven't had any problems with my '13 Pro either. You will get all the other sled boys talking them down. The Doo's catch on fire and the AC's have lost motors and belts too. Just find what you like if you can get some seat time.

Hey thanks everyone. It's interesting to hear all of the input. I rode a 13' 600 RMK and a 12' 800 Pro a couple days ago. Of course the power of the 8 was noticeably there, but the 6 was so much more smooth and flickable. Like a lot of you guys said, I'll try and ride them each a bit more and make a decision from there. Thanks again.

The '07 600 is bulletproof !!!
If you have burnt 3 of them ,you need to learn how to read piston wash and then use EGT's

My thoughts exactly! I couln't begin to try to figure how many pounds of nitrous i ran through my 07 and today it has over 4000 miles and still has 125 pounds of compression per cylinder!

Wrong again, that might fly in Iowa, but riding up here in Northern BC where we get 4' of fresh dry powder in the Rockies regularly you on your 600 155" will not keep up to the 800 163" no matter how good of a rider you think you are, sorry:face-icon-small-dis

Not referring to chutes either, that's best left to the turbo yami's.

Ummm sorry your wrong CRFfred, here in Wyoming were snow conditions vary every storm from dry powder to heavy wet deep powder, I have ridden with every 800 mod you can think of except turbo and have yet to be lost on my 600 pro in trees and drainages! Dont be scared its ok if someone keeps up with you on a 6 just shows that guy is a hell of a rider riding one hell of a good sled. I ride Togwotee pass and cooke city so compared to your riding areas id say we are on same playing field.
Oh and just for record the guys riding the 8's are damn good riders and all were in your shoes till they saw it with their own eyes

lol, no doubt. Only on Snowest will find Guy's arguing that a 600 155" will out perform an 800 163" in 4' of waste deep powder because of their superiour riding techniques. Then using the arguement that the 800 is only good for point and shoot situations, what a fn joke.

i have a 2013 600, my dad has a 2013 800 163" and our buddy has a 2012 800 155" and i ride each sled multiple times each time we go out. while they cannot go anywhere i cant, they can go straight up the hill much higher no doubt. boondocking i can drop them but i think thats anyones game. i love my 600 and might start looking for poweradders (hard to pull the trigger when it has a warranty) but if you are looking for a sled you can ride with ZERO mods i would look at the 800. for whats it worth if i snowcheck a 2014 it will an 800.

Just to keep mood light, I think its funny us pro guys have argue about a 6 and 800 because we all know damn well the other manufacturers don't make a sled that will keep up and is worth argueing about! We are getting really bored and hungry for some competition :face-icon-small-coo

Hey, I'll give any of the 600 proponents the benefit of the doubt since I have no proof to prove otherwise, but where I tree ride, there's plenty of uphill steep and deep that is usually the only way out after some distance through the trees. I wouldn't feel comfortable on a 600 155" personally. I am a heavier guy suited up tho.

Fair enough, try the Wyoming riding section under crooked Creek snow thread, I have a video in their. I'm ALWAYS up for riding with new folks so if your planning on going to one of those two areas in Feb or march let me know I'll grab a buddy or two and come out for a ride with you

There's no way I'd go there for that! Then you would show me up and post your results on this forum :face-icon-small-win Remember I'm not the one who called you out, I just wanted to see it with my own eyes...
