There are 3 ways you can use quick strap with the 2009 509 goggles.

1) Remove the 509 full strap from the hinge slot & replace with the roko strap. Just like you would any other pair of goggles.

2) Cut the 509 full strap about 4" from the hinge. Then take the open end of the strap and weave it through the quick strap buckle hardware.

3) We also sell open ended 'short straps'. These come in pairs and allow you to use the 509 strap and hinge system without any cutting. Simply take the open end of each strap and weave it through the quick strap buckle.

I just got the 509s and have had the Scott Turboflows for the last 3 years. I swtiched out the Scotts for the 509s when the Scott's iced over in Colorado (unavoidable).

A few things worth mentioning:

1. I had to punch the knockouts out of the 509 lenses which kind of pissed me off. You would think that for $100 dollar goggles you shouldn't have to **** with them.

2. I've also got a small imperfection in the lense in the middle of the left side on the blue lense I ordered.

3. I had to get my wife to sew up the straps to make them work with the Roko stuff since 509 was out of the quick straps I ordered and failed to tell me.

But they work very well and there is no denying that. I'll never use the Scotts again unless I need a spare set. The nosepeice is a lifesaver.

Ordered some about 2 weeks ago. Immediately got an e-mail telling me that the order was received. Couple days later (I ordered on a weekend) got another e-mail telling me they were shipped. 3 Days later they were in my mailbox. Haven't used them yet cause haven't been up but can't wait. They look great and very comfy.

I have both Scott Turbo Flow's and 509's. I use my 509's constantly (Scotts are just a backup until I order another set or two of 509's). Very little fogging issues compared to the Scotts, and the Gold lens is sweet in flat light. About the only problem I have is that the lens do tend to scratch a little easy, but what do you expect when riding thru trees to find the powder. The group I took out this week has all bought 509's now, and really like them.

have loved mine! absolutely flawless. i bought quickstraps along with the 509 quickstrap compatible short straps and i love the combination!

haven't fogged up on me yet. they cover my whole face and leaves no bare skin to the cold wind and air.

they are simply awesome!

i bought a pair at the beginning of the season and i like them alot. very comfertable and fit nicely in the helmet. the only time i have fogging issues is if i dont take them off before i try to dig out a stuck sled or something like that that creates a little extra heat.

I bought a pair and was so impressed I bought the wife a pair and me another, two weeks later 2 more people had them in our group because they were so impresses with them as well, awesome goggles plus got a free dvd twice.

Yeap, 08's last year, 09s this year.... they're "teh bestest".

Add a breath box to your helmet and you're good to go.

just like everyone else awsome googles just punch out the extra plastic and be prepared to buy the wife a pair also. Now I got the kids pounding on me, but we will see the way they take care of things.
