It might only be like 13 I can't remember now

WOW! Early season riding... and ripping over stumps & rocks???

Not early season. I found the occasional hard spot in the snow (stumps, laid over green trees, etc. ) but nothing I haven't felt on other sleds without this sort of recourse.

Take it for what it's worth, it is what it is. The trax boyz are second gen new media players and eastern CA snowX racers, ditch bangers. They don't get on mountain sleds very often. Don't think they are crap riders, they just only ride in the mountains once or twice a year, on stock sleds (and an occasional turbo viper) with factory riders. When off trail in CA, I'd guess they spend half of their time in the air.

No way to really know yet but I think that it will be very interesting to see how the new Camso 2.8 track works this winter. For my money, I liked the 2.6" Polaris track better than the 3" Polaris track. Part of that might be gearing/chain drive. I will watch how the new 2.8 Camso works and may bite on one of them. So far (900 miles), my 2.6 is hanging in there although I am seeing the wear issues that some others have mentioned. I am guessing that another season will be all the 2.6 has left.

The bcra competition I went to was rough on the track, shot rocks and branches all over and caught a stump so hard it shot me straight in the air, somehow I turned it into a up hill u turn but my point is I beat the chit out of the track that day and had several similar days, the track had some scratches and took some 1/2 chunks out of the fingers in a few spots. Then caught a fence post once and only lost a little of a corner.

I've never seen a track hold up this good except for shorter pc tracks. The x3 would have thrown lug for sure.

The Lester boys grew up to be their Dad and Uncle. Everything that has been said about them is spot on. Oh they can ride, but not often do they ride out west. I have not liked them since the 2002 CSRA Finale but that is another story. 2002 was a long time ago. LOL

They missed the target on a couple key points but ultimately they got their point across, and that is what the video was meant to do.

I try to be cautious with my track and if I see something coming up that looks like my track might dig and hit it, I consciously let off the throttle until I clear it, then back on. I ride with a buddy with the 2.4 pro track that MAULS crap under the snow with twice the miles on my axys (I have 1100 on the axys) and is only missing a lug or two. ALso have a buddy with a 163x2.6 track that claims he rails stuff with it all the time and his track looks perfect. Wondering If I just got a bad track. I ride the thing, but I don't purposely beat it. I try to keep my stuff looking and operating right.

Ha, can't be much more Polaris bias than that video.
I bet there were more damaged Axys A-arms than skidoos front clip last season but no mention of Poos faults?

Cat has more bottom end than any poo or doo i have ridden and 16 newer cats tip over much easier than the poo.

Nope, no bias. The Poo is perfect!

If the objective was to mislead the uneducated, they did that great.

They have false information and lead ppl to believe the others have issues but the axys doesn't.

They either shouldn't have brought up these points, XM front end being weak, cat spindles, cat low end power.
Without pointing out the axys weak points, everyone knows the arms are weak. That should have mean included! At the very least.

The cat spindle thing, it's not the issue, shouldn't even be included.

Cat low end, my dealer is selling them clutched and they have more grunt and pull than most of the axys I rode, but I set up his kit and I also wouldn't rule out the axys until I clichéd one. So I don't compare them if someone ask s me. I simply say cats clutching from the factory is not Mountain clutching and there is way more to be had with proper setup. Not a single word about the axys, I think they are both in great standing and the results I saw are from the track not the power.

Plan and simple misleading

To be clear,
I don't abuse my sled or track.
The times it was beat up where from unknown situations that required me to hammer through or where unseen.

I get into situations that are too dangerous if you let off, your committed or your screwed.

I've never wrecked a front end and I owned all three

I think what you're missing is, and it was pointed out previously, is that they are testing BOX STOCK sleds, not sleds that have been massaged. So, if, by your own admission, Cats' clutching as they come from factory not completely dialled in, THAT is what they are testing, and reporting on. As to the Cat spindles, only ridden a '12, so whether there was a design flaw or not, I can't say. But clearly CAT thought there was a better design, as they revamped it?

And to the Axys, yes, some folks have had some A-arm troubles, others have not. I hit two pretty solid trees with mine, and feared the worst. Scraped the snow away and not even the tiniest of scuffs. Perhaps they had an issue firsthand with a Doo test sled, and felt it should be reported, and zero issues with any A-arms on their Poo testers? Who's to say? If I was a moto journalist, I wouldn't report heresy/scuttlebutt/interweb rumours, only what I had seen firsthand. And it's quite possible that is what happened here, not some vendetta against other manufacturers because their bribe cheques didn't clear the bank lol.

Factory sleds are not setup! Ever!

My dealers, and I have some of the best for all makes. They do the setup.

You flat out cannot buy a factory sled and start comparing! Your taking a sea level sled in some cases so it's not a good match.

How about I take one of my cat dealers show room models and a sea level setup axys and give a review.

It would be a horrific embarrassing event for the axys.

If they are going to present something as professional s, then be a freaking professional!

It's not rocket science and if all my dealers do clutching on factory sleds when sold or before (all 3) then as a professional have some integrity and do it right.

3" Shootout

Wyoboy1000 sounds like you should go out and spend $45,000 and make your own video...then report back.
