Can't wait for this years. Last year was awsome. Told the boss I was going to be sick on Friday to come up to camp. I'll give Retodd a hand as a spotter out of the barn. Another thought is a pool with judges for the sickest climb. But also like the cannon ball run race to. Everybody was talking about a short run. How about a run from Hood hill to someplace like the ridge far left. Multiple hills, side hills, climbs, wind drifts and so on. Could be fun???

Which hill are the races on? Big house is pretty ratty at the top. The moguls or wind blown waves up there won't allow much more than about 20mph. The bottom of the hill is still fine. Unless something changes up there, another hill might be in order. The area near the top end of the railroad grade looks pretty good but it's not very steep. Any other good hills that anyone has in mind?

That's good. I thought someone said it was plowed to the Blue Lake Y so I was just checking.

There is over 3' of snow on the road at the blue lake "Y" :eek::D

Definately going to be in the first big lot..lol:beer;

Maybe they were plowing snow with the front of their sleds at the Blue Lake Y. I only had time to skim the threads earlier today. The first big lot will be much better. Glad I checked the RV today cuz tomorrow I am in search of new batteries for it. That woulda been a pizzr on Friday trying to scramble to get up there with no juice.:o:present:

One thing we could really use everyones help with is FIREWOOD.

As a club, we stashed a bunch up farther not expecting to be in the first lot.:rolleyes: Getting dry wood to the event in any kind of quantity is alot to ask of just a few people so that's where everyone else can really help.

Please if you can throw a few pieces on your trailer Everyone would really appreciate it!!

How about pallets? I have at least 200 that are taking up space at my business and they need to go!

Let me know

The problem with pallets is the mess they leave. My wife's family owns a freight company and we are always burning the bad pallets to get rid of them. You would not believe all the buckets of nails we have pulled from the pit.

We really do not want to leave a mess up there at all. Infact, we always make the effort to leave it better than we came. I personally don't want to clean up a bunch of nails.

Getting close---Coming soon---hopefully the sun will be here for saturday!!:sun:

Going to be sweet--looking forward to it.

I will see if I can scrounge up some firewood-I already burned all the firewood I had--especially the stuff with nails and screws in it;).

so i dont have a camper or anything but is there a place to pitch a tent ?
yeah i know its in the snow but its a hell of alot cheaper than a dui .....:beer;

dragon - The parking lot is cleared but you would be pitching your tent on fairly large rock/gravel and muddy conditions. Or, there is some snowy areas around the lot that might work for a tent. Definitely an occasion for a ground tarp/cloth if you do.

Hope that helps...:beer;:beer;

See you up there,
BroT

probably better off building a snow cave. What ever you do, bring a lot of sleeping pads for insulation if you are going to be on the snow. A good couple of inches will go a long way to making you comfortable. Oh, the closed cell type foam, not the ones that hold water, otherwise it will be like sleeping on a sponge. :eek:
