Yup, nothing compelling in the more budget-friendly lines. Really strange that everything AXYS has disappeared, except the Titan still uses the 800 HO.... Seems like a no-brainer to offer an AXYS 650/850 basic RMK. Yeah, kind of a waste to be selling three chassis, but why keep the oldest one? Going forward, they need to come out with a new motor for utility and mid-range sleds. The 650 is a de-bored 850, and probably costs almost as much to make. Something like Doo's done with the 600 EFI would make sense. No power valves makes things cheaper and simpler, and 100 HP would still be in reach. Plenty of motor for a trail sled, and I can't see why they couldn't make a basic RMK for just over $10k. Another option would be to build a new fan motor; keep the carbs for the truly entry-level sleds, but offer an EFI version with another 20HP. Kinda interesting that there's a 4-stroke again, but sounds like the same play as the old Frontier, and apparently adds 120lbs!
Anyway, on the top end, the 9R sounds like it'll be a ton of fun. No reason to pay money for the Boost if you ride at lower elevations; of course, the higher you get, the more boost is going to help you. And somebody's going to try turboing the 9R.... You gotta love the choices you have if you have the money to burn. I'm not sure what they're thinking on the low end, but that's not to detract from the top-of-the-line. I doubt Doo's more powerful turbo is going to out-gun the Boost, and the 9R definitely takes the cake for NA horsepower. The prices are about what you'd expect; that might be the place Doo is eking out a win, but I wonder if Doo dealers are going to mark them up and negate the advantage.
