2022 Boost: must do mods & DIY fixes

So, with the 2024 Tune and boondocker breathe right big intake, and proper clutching, wouldn’t the 2022 perform the same
There are some other differences but I would think that it would be fairly close. But my 23 Boost with a VOHK tune/clutching and such still didn't seem as quick as my 24 but it had the 2.75'' track.

I was actually thinking of putting a silber tune I it too. So for this year;

- silber tune
- boondocker breath right or 3D Logic Ribkage
- silicone elbow
- Sienen Racing Clutching (stay with p22 for this year)
- convert to Khaos geometry with Tony,s reccomendations

I will look at a P85 and 300lx for next season

I get how the tune is appealing, but if your still running a p22 and 2.75 track your not going to put that power to the snow. Better $$ spent on and power flow valve. Keep the p22 clutching stock IMO. what elevation do you ride?

When it comes to the intake hose that collapses, heat is the blame for why it collapses according to the internet. That may be true, but I believe vacuum/restriction or lack of air is causing this. I noticed right away when I would chop the throttle on my stock boost, my stock intake vents would suck in and out due to restriction or lack of air. A more rigid hose would prevent collapsing but that’s not the real issue IMO. What’s everyone’s else thoughts?

Anybody had a chance to see the 3D Logik Ribkage installed? Maybe at HeyDays??

Trying to decide between it and the Boondocker Breathe Right. The pictures look like it fits like a glove, and really maintains a stock look.

6000-7000' in BC.

I SHOULD have the intake licked with the Ribkage or Boondocker BR in combo with the silicon elbow I bought. Will probably install Tony's Boost box valve too and call the intake side done until I have throttle body boot issues :ROFLMAO:.

I will get the 2024 flash done when I get the recalls done at dealer...then hold off on tune until next year. Seinen Racing has a great deal on the Silber tune and such...hence why I leaned in that direction.

Also, have a plan and parts on the way to get my rear skid to feel right based on Tony's help.

I doo agree though (pun intended); a 300LX will get installed next year along with a P85.

Anybody have any comparisons between the Boondocker Breath Right and 3D Logik RibKage? Both appear that they will function the same, but which has better fit and finish...money is basically the same.

It’s a dual rate 75/150#.
On everyone of my stock sleds the 75# side was always coil bound. The 165 length suspension puts more pressure on the FTS spring than a 155.
For comparison, the RMSHA sleds are a 155 length and are fitted with a straight 150#.
We have had better results, in our back country 165 sleds, with 160 and 170# FTS springs. They make the front end feel lighter.

I have the Boondocker and so far...not impressed. There are a lot of air gaps that Im going to need to order foam strips to shore up. No idea if that is normal or not or how big of a deal it actually is. Called and emailed boondocker about it and havent heard back all week.

I have the boondocker on my 24 boost and the mtntek on my 23 boost and both work well. I've never had any issues with snow getting in around any gaps on the boondocker intake

Rtv around the boondocker was the fix on the axys chassis BD intake.

I run the Boondocker on my boost and it works well. If you have concerns about the seal, you could definitely add some gasket material. But overall it performs great in the deep snow. Remember this is an auxiliary/added source of intake complimenting the side vents and is really just a redundancy in adding a roughly 9 square inch opening to the foam filtered airbox.

If I had a dollar for every bud riding a matryx with small tears in the OEM frogskinz side vents that allow the intake of small snowflakes into the main foam airbox filter constantly, I'd be retired.

I didn't realize these had an additional filter. I thought the only filtering was done by the frogskinz, hence my concern about air gaps in certain spots. If thats truly just for snow prevention, how its installed now shouldnt be much of an issue
