I have the MTN TK and it's an amazing cooler. It's also on sale.

Have done same with 4 of our Axys sleds ....start them up and it takes between 7-10 minutes for them to warm up.... adds a decent amount of cooling area and volume.Photos?

Have the nephew's Khaos to do in the fall before next winter and am going to try it with just the brp cooler and thermally isolate it from the tunnel to see if we can reduce / eliminate snow / ice accumulation on the boards

Do they use the same 1 1/32" diameter coolant hose as the polaris? Also, do you need a specific one to fit between the tunnel cooler extrusions? This is on Axys .. brp cooler with entry & exit tube in front on top side so it plumbs in nicely with a couple of 90s and a joiner ...not sure about Matrix platform

What specific coolers are you using from the skidoos? Been thinking about using one when I cut down my axys 155 to a 146. I used one from an '04 Rev chassis if i remember right. It was not full length (only 36" if i recall) and am just using it as an extra cooler since i still have coolant through the factory exchanger after my chop. I believe couch was using a similar one, but a longer length and using it in place of the sheetmetal top sheet of the tunnel. Pretty sure he also had to straighten out a factory bend to make it flat. The doo exchangers also have flanges on the top as well as the bottom so make sure youre buying the right one for your applicationWhat specific coolers are you using from the skidoos? at the very least, we would need a new base thread in the Axys Forum that we could "Move" the Axys posts in this thread into.@christopher can you split the Axys specific content out of this thread and move it to the Axys forum?

OKI went a different route on shortening the tunnel/ cooler— also using MTNTK products. I liked it so much, I became a dealer for them.
I installed their five foot cooler and plumbed it in, omitting the stock cooler completely.
First I tested it without cutting the tunnel at all— to confirm cooling capability. After running the whooped out trail with no snow flap and only hitting 131 degrees, and then running between 88-93 degrees in deep snow, I took the plunge and made the cut (7”)last night.
Shortened tunnel ride today.
I really like how the center cooler keeps the center of the...
