Attack angle way to steep......
What happened to the built in gas can holder.....grab your bungee straps:doh::doh::doh::doh::face-icon-small-dis
Looks like two steps forward and one step back
Actually one step forward and two steps back

The artical says it has an integrated fuel storage rack. Whatever that means cuz i don't see it

Yawn! Somebody owes me a pair of socks!

Considering I own kits from the 2 companies they copied (CMX and Yeti), think I'm good to go.

So as long as you Turdsled guys are happy, we'll call it a day!

I would recommend some good fitting socks on Monday for the Yeti release, oh, and a night job to help pay for it of course!

Ok

Yeah, not sold just yet, I like the ski, but my 17 works way toooo good to jump ship, we'll see.....

The two companies that might have never bothered to do it if Timbersled didn't push the boundaries of the sport in the first place????

It's all good, I like those kits too.... but,,,, jus sayin.....

Local dealer to me, "dieselwerx" on facebook has a lot of video feeds on the new kit from the trade show.

Guess it depends on how you look at it . They outsourced the ski to their manufacture that makes their sled skis and most other sled manufactures . It's to bad , flexi ski makes great skis that stand the test of time . As far as the loop goes it's pretty weak in their way of thinking and function . They might have also cut a little to much weight , this ski is gonna bend and wrinkle up front for some riders .

It's all about the weight and price and not always about the consumer for this manufacture .

You got all that from a single picture huh?

Yup, but it's fun to poke at you Timbersled guys.

Allen deserves mad props for his contribution to the sport, and hope he made mad bank because of it.

Hey guys. A lot of speculation and assumptions. It is very exciting for sure. Everyone wait until you get the engineering and manufacturing specs, then wait until you ride it !

I will hit on a few points maid. There is a forged aluminum block providing multiple functions in the forward frame. It is located inside the 700 grade extruded aluminum frame rails and is adjustable. That is where the chain adjustment is made. No chain and sprocket tension issues. Unlimited options. On the primary drive chain, there are two sliders. No idlers. The upward arc on the bottom of the chain is the slack side of the chain. The driver location and geometry in relation to the bike is engineered to perfection. The approach angle is steeper but the location is strategic. The paddles are parallel to the bottom of the skid plate as they enter the snow. No paddles pushing forward in the snow to make the turn at the driver. The center paddle is 1" wider than last year. The result is, it pops up out of the snow effortlessly and all horse power is efficiently used driving forward. The chain case is so slender it's virtually not there. Boot and heal room are nearly 100%. Stock sized pegs are plenty of room. External chain case adjustment and lube. ............. Suspension is crazy good. Nearly 12 inches in the skid alone , not including TSS. Plush and bottom resistant. The suspension alone is unlike anything you have ever ridden. New enclosed brake system fully assembled and factory bled with a Magura master cylinder. Mount and go. Wait until you ride it ! All the specifics will be addressed in time. The list is long...... I call it a 5 year jump in technology. The new baseline has jumped so far ahead. I am excited for YOU to ride it and hear your reaction .

Gonna be honest here, it may be a 5 year jump for TIMBERSLED, but in reality it is just catching up with those that have passed them. Yeti, CMX, and snowtech have been far ahead of timbersled lately.

It has as much travel as my 16 snowtech
It has a separate moveable bulkhead like yeti and snowtech
You can finally adjust the chain like you should have been able to for the last number of years
Spindle is finally up to par with yeti and snowtech

I don't see it, yeah it's a new track and ski but it's really just a revamped SX kit IMO

and that approach angle my god it reminds me of a snowhawk and we all know how that worked in deep snow

I do know that Polaris engineers know how to make something handle. (Axys)
And pop on top of the snow.

Yes, the handling is like you have never felt. The 17 is a great handling, strong, and reliable kit with excellent suspension. Look at the X-Games Podium. This new ARO is a quantum leap beyond the 17 model. Best handling, easiest install, and Timbersled tough. If you get a chance to ride/demo one at your local dealer, be sure to take that opportunity. One ride is all it takes.

See you on the mountain.

Surface area?

With the narrower track how much surface area are we loosing on the snow compared to a 16-17 st? or does the steeper angle of approach somehow get more track on the snow? Just curious because i am 150 lbs rider (granted i pack a lot of gear) and in wet heavy snow i wont ride. Just not enough surface area to keep me on top on the snow. and i don't like being constantly stuck. Thats why i dumped my sled in the first place.

Also making the ski and track the same width is a good idea but i notice a problem now with my 17 TS when im doing switchbacks. In a turn the track is in fresh snow, not in the packed snow from the ski. Makes uphill turns in powder nearly impossible. I would almost think a wider track, or longer is needed. or Is this where the steeper angle of attack is supposed to help?
Anyhow just a few questions for the smart people on here lol
