Oh and to answer your question this is probably the fake invoice. Dealer will make their money with holdback, financing, doc fee(Which is a dumb fee I agree before someone brings that up), kick backs from the manufactures. My price as an employee through Ford. Ford gives us basically another $2k below the "fake" invoice as our price and that is non negotiable. So if I were buying the platinum above I would be around $72,000

King Ranch is sweet.
It sounds like a mans truck, its got that rugged cowboy/rancher sound to it. Tough rugged man type leather.
Plus, they usually have the gold on the bottom.

Platinum, sounds like a chicks truck. Oh they are sweet, got all the goodies but sound feminine.
Probably pearlescent paint too! Lol.
I'd still drive it!

Yeah, for me it's the tanned leather interior.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I believe that the KR leather must be a better grade that holds up better over the years.

King ranch leather is supposed to be a little tougher then the others.
So talk to me here mr. professional car salesman.

Should I be considering the King Ranch with upgrades or just getting the Platinum?

If I had a choice, I would order a Limited.

So you're telling me I can't get a $74,000 pickup in bronze fire metallic, but my wife can get a pro in bronze fire metallic? I see a problem here.

You can get bronze fire you just can not get it in platinum trim level. I'll double check tomorrow at work but I want to say platinum is only offered in white platinum, black, ruby red and maybe one other.

That's like a which one is better 155" or 163" track. It's all preference. I love the leather in the platinum. The king ranch is extremely nice just not my style but the king ranch leather is supposed to be a more durable leather. That's what ford claims anyways. Price wise there going to be about identical.

To me a king ranch is what it sounds like someone who's out on the farm is going to be dirty throwing they're tools in doesn't mind getting their truck interior a little dirty maybe a little tougher on it which means it needs to be a rougher interior.

And the platinum is going to be the guy who wants a really plush interior probably isn't going to be beating up the interior or out on a ranch/farm all day getting the inside dirty. Treating it like the luxury vehicle it is. Using the truck for his boats, sleds, camper. I don't know I'm kind of rambling on right now I know.

So you tell me are you the weekend warrior/daily driver. Or are you the rancher? Or do you just prefer the look and interior of the KR?

Some guys just prefer the KR look and interior/exterior over the platinum. It's all preference.

.

Weekend Warrior & DAILY DRIVER to be sure!
But
I think I need to go take a long hard look at the KR just to be sure.
My truck also gets a LOT of "Boy Scout Use" on weekends all year long.
So having an interior that will take MORE abuse would be a good thing for me.

Sounds like a mega cab limited is what you need.
