2016 Polaris Axys Vrs skidoo T3 ?

How do you compare differences between a xm to t3 in the same league of the differences between a pro and a axys?
Axys 95+% new parts, redesigned front to back in every way. (Not claiming it's perfect)
T3 5% new parts over a xm, a few things changed major item was a 3" track, or a 174, some of us don't want to drive that bus, so then they make shorter 3" tracks.
Seems like the brand loyal haters are coming out of the woodwork tripping over each other to claim there good but now dated technology is still good.
What will happen when doo releases a new chassis? Will the T3 still be the best or because doo finally updates there chassis then it will be OK to say the T3 /xm /xp chassis is out dated as a whole technical sled.

There is a big difference between a xm and a t3. It really doesn't matter how many different parts there are between them. The axys and the T3's both do the same thing, which is, make the old chassis feel like a boat anchor.

Maybe the same reason why snowest made a separate xm section?
Trying to glorify incremental improvements like they are actually making something new.

The difference is the XP, XM, and T3 all share the same chassis. They changed the plastics with the release of the XM and some other minor suspension tweaks and added the flex edge track but the actual bulkhead and tunnel are the same. With the T3 the bulkhead and tunnel are still the same but they further tweaked the suspension with T-motion and the narrow front end.

I guess it depends how you define chassis; as I define it the T3 is still the same old 2008 XP chassis, with just bolt on changes. Whereas the AXYS is indeed a NEW chassis.

I don't know what everyone else thinks but I think that its pretty impressive that a 163x15 2.6 will hang with a 174x16 3" on the hill, that's saying a lot right there! Unless your strictly going straight up the hill who really cares and what fun is that? Come on people you aren't even comparing apples to apples!

I couldnt disagree more.

12-13 Polaris made big changes to the Pro, (different front end, different engine electronics, different suspension calibrations, different belt drive from chain drive, misc others) It was still called a pro chassis. They did not come up with a new name for it because they bolted on a few new changes to the same Chassis.
This is what Doo has done twice now and called the chassis something new!
These are all things that a guy with a xp could bolt on and change to.
On a Axys that is not possible. Unless you want to buy 95% of a new sled in parts.

Did they make things better on a xp to xm to t3 yes I'd say so.
Did they make a new chassis that people can not upgrade there existing sled to without buying a new one NO!

MY View is the Technology of the Axys is heads and tails above the other 2 manufacturers.
I said it before and I say it again, It's not perfect but they are pushing the envelope and the other manufacturers on the mountain sleds.

You couldnt build a sled like a new stock axys for any money 10 years ago

SMF, that's funny stuff. Cause every Doo rider I know is either gay, an idiot, or both!

HOLY CRAP THAT EXPLAINS IT!:light::face-icon-small-sho NOW I WHY I'M GAY!:face-icon-small-win Only part that doesn't make sense is 1) I know I'm not an idiot. 2) EVEN if by some miracle I am, I'm still way better looking the you:becky: 3) my girlfriend is hotter than your wife. (refer to item 1 and 2) 4) I got told I couldn't Dangle this weekend:noidea: and then out rode a bunch of silly boys on their POLARIS'S.(An lets face it no guy likes losing to a girl) Lord help us all if I buy an AXYS I'll be a Sled Goddess LOL.

I own a 13 XM 154x2.5 and have put 0ver 2200 miles on it, I also purchased a 16 XM T-3 163 this season and have 175 miles on it. I was riding deep colorado snow yesterday and was pulling some lines I wouldn't even consider on my 13, big difference between the two sleds, my buddy on his 14 pro 155 was really impressed and had a tough time trying to follow. With that being said I can't wait to try out an Axy and if it's a better sled for my riding style I have no problem switching brands.

Yes let the games begin:face-icon-small-hap rode with a few 174 T3s last year and none of them outdid my 154 :face-icon-small-sho so if a real good rider on a axys can keep up with a average rider on a 174 its about as good a a SP154:face-icon-small-blu --Apples Oranges and Bull let the games begin -- at least there may be a interesting opponent this time:yo::yo::yo::

They 13 pro wasn't leaps and bounds over the 12. I had them both. My 12 beat the 13 demo. Everyone puts the belt drive on a pedestal. You could ride both and not know which was which. My axys 155 3 inch feels rippyer than my wife's axys 163 with 2.6. The front end was the same thing that you are griping about on the skidoos. Mostly good Polaris marketing to get people to buy a new sled when the 12' s hardly got used due to bad snow year. Well it worked because I bought a 13.
Who cares what skidoo calls it. The FACT is the t3 is leaps and bounds better than an xp. I don't believe you can upgrade and xp and have a t3. This is like the spin room. As far as technology being heads and tails above the other, well, I don't buy it. They just went 2 different directions. I happen to like the way Polaris went. Do I believe doo needs to start over, yes. It starts with getting rid of the 16 wide and fat chassis that goes with it. As far as the t motion and flex edge, that is rider preference. Some people like it. It makes things easier but there are woes that go with them. Some people are even putting them on pros, which I don't get. I know why but I don't know why they don't go for the doo.
I went out with 3 T3's today. 2 163's and 1 154. One had a 15 wide 3.2 but felt it didn't work as good. They don't have anything on my 155 and I was down 300 rpm. The one couldn't believe how my sled would just keep going. I also didn't have any rider forward stuffs where you have to look for your front end. Another doo trait I love. Both good sleds. Rider preference.
