2016 Polaris Axys Vrs skidoo T3 ?

We put the axys against our 163 t 3 with a demo sled .The polaris had a can as did one of the t3 s When the test was over all three of us are on new axys sleds now...we have bent one A arm already and a front bumper on the axys but still love the way it handles .Time will tell how the durability factor is against the t3 s.Skidoo builds a very tough sled
 
They 13 pro wasn't leaps and bounds over the 12. I had them both. My 12 beat the 13 demo. Everyone puts the belt drive on a pedestal. You could ride both and not know which was which. My axys 155 3 inch feels rippyer than my wife's axys 163 with 2.6. The front end was the same thing that you are griping about on the skidoos. Mostly good Polaris marketing to get people to buy a new sled when the 12' s hardly got used due to bad snow year. Well it worked because I bought a 13.
Who cares what skidoo calls it. The FACT is the t3 is leaps and bounds better than an xp. I don't believe you can upgrade and xp and have a t3. This is like the spin room. As far as technology being heads and tails above the other, well, I don't buy it. They just went 2 different directions. I happen to like the way Polaris went. Do I believe doo needs to start over, yes. It starts with getting rid of the 16 wide and fat chassis that goes with it. As far as the t motion and flex edge, that is rider preference. Some people like it. It makes things easier but there are woes that go with them. Some people are even putting them on pros, which I don't get. I know why but I don't know why they don't go for the doo.
I went out with 3 T3's today. 2 163's and 1 154. One had a 15 wide 3.2 but felt it didn't work as good. They don't have anything on my 155 and I was down 300 rpm. The one couldn't believe how my sled would just keep going. I also didn't have any rider forward stuffs where you have to look for your front end. Another doo trait I love. Both good sleds. Rider preference.

Not sure why your 13 wasn't snappier, lighter, faster than your 12 but I had both at same time, wasn't even close. 13 was much faster and alot easier to move than a my 12.
Electronic system on 13 was much snappier as well, mapping was very different between the two.

As far as technology, has either of the other two companies tried the technologies there been using in automotive industries for years?
Some have worked great others have needed tweaking along the way but the other two companies haven't even tried to use that technology.
If companies don't keep pushing the envelope we'd still be riding steel bulkheads, trailing arms, chain cases, low chassis, high handle bars, tall seats, wide bodywork, big wide front ends, triple cylinder bogs, standard bulb headlights, plastic air boxes, aluminum overstructures, steel a arms flexible chassis, now we have less and less rivets used to loosen up, raised chassis/running boards and bulkhead and spindles, very stiff chassis, cast and glued bulkheads, carbon fiber parts, more and more parts made with aluminum that Used to be steel.

Doo n poo have gone 2 different directions
1 push the envelope with new designs based on a new and still a rigid chassis
1 keep the old chassis and bolts on a few new parts every couple years and call it a new sled also have flexy chassis and a flexy suspension.

T3/XM are fun easy to ride sleds. They remind me of a good horse who knows the ropes and will not let you down. The Axys is a thoroughbred and it is demanding. Both sleds are enjoyable. As far as power goes, the Axys feels much stronger to me than the Ski Doo. It pulls much harder than my 13 and it is remarkably potent through the entire range (bottom, mid and high). In a word, the thing rips! Both sleds have their positive attributes and I would be happy on either one.
