2015 viper oil pressure issues

Check ball and spring is hung up for vent dump, exhaust would a bearing seal between the halves of the turbo? Don't know anything but mine vent tube had a drop or two and the vent is tied to the cross brace behind the radiator. I'm new to turbos so all I can say is my sled is still flawless so far. And as the Rolling Stones would sing I Like It:face-icon-small-hap

fix

Im pretty sure i have a fix guys but want to ride it a couple more times to be sure all is good thanks Chaz

Mine's dumping oil too, factory 180 kit. First I noticed it when I put my Zbroz skidplate on. The instructions says to tip sled on clutch side so not to loose oil out of the injection tank breather (2 stroke). So I did that, WRONG way, leaking oil into the bulkhead area! Tipped it to the exhaust, seemed to be better, but hard to tell. I know its definitely loosing oil boondocking, its in the bulkhead, and the bellypan below the clutches, even some below the muffler. I've wiped it clean, so I know it keeps spewing out. I haven't installed my rollover kit, simply because it won't fix this issue while riding!

This is my first 4 stroke. If I'd a known this is how its was gonna be, I probably wouldn't have bought it. Should have bought a T3 :(

Apparently BD made a tank that wont leak in 2010. You would think the OEM's could figure out something similar.

Turbo Performance has a billet tank for their turbo kits. I'm running one on my REV turbo. Sled can be upside down, still running, maintain pressure, not loose prime, and its VENTLESS to boot!!! Come on Yamaha, your better than this...

so how much oil is everybody else losing?

I have had major problems in the last 2 rides. I have the 180 MPI kit

If I tip my sled, gentle angle, on the left slide, oil comes out and spills all over the belt and clutches

As soon as this happens my days is done. The belt/clutch becomes so slick. It takes about 5 min to even get the sled moving. After that, another hour to get over 30-40 km an hour.

I have to stick to the trail for 2-3 hours just to burn the oil off and stop the belt from slipping. The belt just won't grab. Pain in the you know what. Frustrating. Hoping to get a fix soon. On that note, Yamaha has been very good at acknowledging the issue. I'm just hoping to get a fix soon.

We've been working on a fix to return the oil back to the motor.

That looks very similar to chazwildmans fix. He says his is working. Bringing mine in Monday to have the same done.

I've had a few dealer trying out different ideas. The fitting that threads into the side cove is not something you can find easily off the shelf somewhere, that's way we're going to make a custom fitting.

no other vent matt? just running the breather straight back to the motor?

That's only a photo of the fitting we're making. What you don't see is a tee (or a Y) that will run to the oil/separator and to a vent.

Why is mine not leaking? I don't get it ! WTF it's been all good and I'm not in bed with any body at MPI, well back in the day my MM 700 got some stuff that will kill my APEX, and it was MPI goodies! We rip tomorrow with big 11 inch dump:face-icon-small-dis

so obviously the oil is not draining fast enough from the separator & it just starts coming out the overflow, sounds like it needs a bigger drain hole & hose.does the mpi kit make the oil separator drain hose longer since its move to opposite side?

Maybe your not spending enough time on your head. I would try speding more time upside down to see if you can join the club of leakers

YamahaJohnson isn't this the problem you had on the demo ride last spring? Seems you had oil dripping out when we stopped after a left hand downhill turn. Hope I don't have this problem next week. It would be terribly embarrassing around all those Poo's!
