Just weight my new Assault.

Weight is adjusted to zero with the straps hanging on.

Weight is 242kilograms, full tank of oil, cooling fluid and FULL tank of gasoline. The way the sled is meant to be rode.
This is without the extra wheels in the the skid.

According to Polaris the 2013 Assault 155" dry weight is 435lbs, while the Pro RMK 155" is 417lbs so 18lbs lighter.... Looks like most of the weights that have been posted in previous posts are pretty much dead on.

Congrats on the sled!

Lets figure out the dry weight:
533.5 lbs minus 11.4 gals gas @ 6.3 lbs/gal = 461.7 lbs
461.7 lbs minus 4 qts coolant @ 8.3 lbs/gal = 453.4 lbs
453.4 lbs minus 2.5 qts oil @ 6.3 lbs/gal = 449.4 lbs
449.4 lbs minus 1 total quart shock oil @ 6.3 lbs/gal = 447.9
447.9 lbs minus 2 lbs toolkit = 445.9 lbs
445.9 lbs minus 0 lbs estimate for hooks and straps = 445.9 lbs

The ASSAULT appears to be 446 lbs Dry Weight, vs 435 lbs advertised.

Lets figure out the dry weight:
532 lbs minus 11.5 gals gas @ 6.3 lbs/gal = 459.5 lbs
459.5 lbs minus 2 qts coolant @ 8.3 lbs/gal = 455.4 lbs
455.4 lbs minus 2 qts oil @ 6.3 lbs/gal = 452 lbs
452 lbs minus 12 lbs estimate for hooks and straps = 440 lbs

The ASSAULT appears to be 440 lbs Dry Weight, vs 435 lbs advertised.
you forgot shock oils and chaincase oil...figure Polaris was/is telling the truth on their weights...I visited a customer tonite who said he had his 13 proLE 155 on the scale..all fluids full, no factory tool kit or spare belt....508 pds.......I didnt see it done..just what he said.......

Ever pull a motor from a sled buddy? It takes a full 4 quarts every time (not 2) if you flush the coolers minus another 8lbs its as advertised every time.

Plus you missed all these.

The post CLEARLY states the scale was zeroed with the straps already hanging on the scale.

Just trying to help those that do no not read the entire post.

Correct. The scale was zeroed with the straps and hooks hanging on it. The weight is the sled only.

Dartos..if you read. to get to his dry weight he posted....he said less fuel, less oil, less coolant...he did not subtract for shock oil or for chaincase oil(yes its an assault..it has a chaincase vrs belt drive)..so his DRY weight isnt dry.... as for the weight I posted..that is the weight a customer told me he got when he weighed his 13 155 pro rmk...completely full of all fluids but no factory tool kit or spare belt..and yes I did read all the post..........thank you..

You are correct. I had it in my mind to include yours as a demonstration that whoisthatguy missed several items, I actually should not have included yours in the quote or at least explained it. My humble apologies.

not a problem at all..I was trying to say the same thing as you..I think the assault also has a frt cooler which the rmk doesnt...I do think Poo's numbers are right on the money though....

Last year when Polaris announced the 417 pound weight there was some blowhole on here saying Polaris was lying. I offered him a $100 bet that the sled would be within 1% of that and he would not take me up on it.

Manufactures know people weigh everything on mountain sleds now and can't get away with crap like they use to.

Personally I think people get way to worked up over how close the weight is. Once the sled hits the powder and you have your lunch, backpack, survival gear, tools ........ 10 pounds one way or the other from advertised doesn't mean squat.

Sunvang thanks for taking the time to do that(exactly how I wanted to see a sled weighed). I appreciate the effort with nice clear pics.
