2012 Pro RMK. What is it worth?

Why are you so adamant that this is BS? It's not a Pro, but I bought a new 11 Summit 154 for $10,679. You gonna call BS on me too? It got even better after I wrecked it and USAA gave me a check for $10,200 to fix it and I only spent @ 2 grand to actually fix it. Cheapest sled I've ever owned.

I based my prices off what my neighbor who drives truck to California and back once a month told me and by the dealer justifing their price, I tried to get my sled shipped to Cooke before delivery and couldnt because each truck is under independant contract to that location. I also got this info from when I bought my 12' last year from a different dealer in laramie, that said shipping cost was more for them.

Just what I was told I guess, maybe its not worth holding a candle too.

Works for me. It's all good.

I traded my 2011SBA in for it... but w/o the trade the total would have been $10,270.40... give or take. The elusive good priced snowcheck does exist I cant imagine 2013s are too far off...

They make money on the trade in. No dealer is going to give u that price without it. They would be cutting their own throat...

Notice I bought an aftermarket warranty with the snowcheck, "Aftercare" 5yr to the tune of $700. Feel free to take that out when you run through the numbers again so you get the sled only number... lol

Yeah, but the one in question had zero miles on it and it doesn't matter if you purchase from a dealer or a private party the sales tax cost is still there in most cases so you have to figure that back on top of the price you sold it for.

You could always right a "different" price on the bill of sale for a cash deal to save the new owner sales tax. Didn't the government make money the first time it was sold for sales tax? Why in the hell do they need to make that each time the sled sells?? Is it just me who thinks this is BS?

I paid $12,000 for a 2013 Pro 800 163 ES with 4 year warranty. The E start is about $350, the add for the 163 is about $300 and no 4 year saves about $400 I think. So apples to apples that looks like a Pro 154 with 2 year and no e start should be 10,950 from this dealer. Are my numbers right or did I miss something? BTW, this dealer sold me an aftermarket 4 year warranty instead of the Polaristar warranty. Told me that they had much better luck getting things paid for than with Polaristar.

Most people have no clue what the markup is for a dealer to sell a sled. VERY little. The good deals are sold at losses, because any person who know sales, knows that loss is part of the big picture. Sitting on a sled while it depreciates is worse than taking a loss on a sale. Plus, make someone a smoking deal by selling a sled under cost, they WILL leave the dealership with belts, oil, accessories that are sold at a good profit.
Is it just me or is does thread have WAY more hostility in it than it should?

Was talking to the local dealer Saturday and he told me that they bought basically every 2012 holdover 600&800 available I'm the west. They're priced at $9900 before tax, title, warranty & dock. Puts them $10,900 out the door with a year warranty and idaho 6% sales tax. So that's about what you guys should be expecting to pay for new in the Rockies. A low mileage 2012 with upgrades and warranty is easily worth $9000 to me in that situation. But hey keep chasing unicorns I'm sure they're out there somewhere!

Be smart with your money, and buy your sled from a dealer that offers a FAIR price and that you trust to take care of you after the sale.

Not from the one who is desperate for the next sale, drops their shorts and devalues the sleds for everybody else.

I'd say he should feel pretty good about that purchase. Always someone who will get a better deal than u on here, but who cares, ur friend is gonna think he died & went to heaven after he puts a couple rides on that sled....

That was kind of my point I guess. Two weeks ago I bought a 2012 Sportsman 500 from this dealer.
Here's what I was told then. He has 13... 2012 Pro Rmks. Most with ES. That is all I know. Like I said, my friend paid $8900+tax. 155" ES brand new.

My friend and I are of the same age and make 2-3 trips out west per season. It's a minimum of a 1000 miles one way. When it comes down to it, for many of us, we won't be able to tell that much difference between the 2011/2012 and the 2013. Not $2000-$2500 worth of difference anyway. Were just not that good.
I will be riding my 2011 Pro 163" My son will be riding my 2013 Pro LE 155" The warranty on the 2011 will be up in 2015, and the 2013 will be up in 2017. I hope to snow check a 2015. I am sure by then the 2013s will be old hat.

These are with black shocks and black handlebars right? Not Pro-tapers and WE shocks? Then I can believe it.

I just sold my unicorn - due to the ho's everywhere, the value of my sled dropped more than I wished but that's life.

I'll get over it when I get the call to pick up '13.

They bought these sleds last spring from a dealer out west. I thought it was in California.
I found this out last April while I was shopping around for trading one of my 2011 Pro's on a snow check 2013. Back then I was told they were going to sell them for around $2000 less than the 2013's
Like I said my friend told me he just now bought his 2012 800 Pro RMK with one year factory warranty for $8900 Maybe the price will change soon. We will find out more after Hay Days this weekend.

I guess I can brag about the deal I got. $12,400 OTD. 163 LE. Could of saved $200 from another dealer but the service I get from my dealer in Saratoga WY is the best. I had 2 Pros 2011. One went down with 1500 miles. He lent me another Pro while mine was being fixed. That type of service is priceless. Getting the best price isn,t always the best deal!!
