2012 Polaris?

Thread Rating

What would really be lighter on it? They are both small block based motors,I would say they are within a few lbs.

I suppose you have a point.... but I would think that with a 200 cc difference the top end would be a little lighter... possibly smaller cylinders? IDK... just kinda figured it would be lighter since it was smaller, lol.

Lighter crank by a couple of pounds... separate cyls... and smaller pistons... lighter

Polaris is not claiming a weight reduction... maybe the 800's gained a pound or two and these did not... It does say "estimated" so they are probably trying to be conservative... BUT the FEEL... I can tell you it is related to rotational inertia... "Gyro" effect of much less rotating force... big diff... The 600's are much easier to throw around!!

I'd like to see it in a 146" Pro with a single ply 2.25" lug height track with the coil over skid...

The 2012 600 RMK's will have you thinking if you need to have a 800.... or not.

The 600 has a lighter overall weight and much less gyro-effect of a 6mm shorter stroke make this sled feel "Off the Hook-Amazing"!!

Here are some more pics and info for you... enjoy!!

Colorado sells more sleds than Montana, Wyoming and Utah (Idaho sells more). Yet we don't get a demo. WTF?

Bug, have a look at the webpage in the link ...

Steamboat had one of the first demo spots back in December.

Wind Deflectors on the 2012 600 SB Adventure

What is the part number for the new wind deflectors? I assume they will fit 010 and 011??

Wind Deflectors on the side panels of the Adventure RUSH SB...

No part numbers or parts on that till next fall.

anybody know what exactly changed on the IFS on the switchback pro?

curious if its just a spindle change or if there is more to it...

They look like RMK spindles on there... wondering if its possible to upgrade my 144 assault switch.

Have a look at the upper ball-joints on the SB.... just like the 2011 racers... HMMMM

Wind Deflectors

About time for some wind protection on the side panels when riding across lakes in Mn when the temp is below zero. Those Pro's are a cold b__ch to ride

so fxr has teamed up with Bret Rasmussen for mountain jacket design, and now polaris. Crazy, wonder if they are using this pure dry fabric with the fxr coats because my fxr jacket is not water proof at all, just a soggy mess

polaris and fxr were teamed up for the 2011 season as well.

the rmk spindles should be a direct bolt on for the switchback assault. As they were for my 2010 800 rmk.
