2012 155 assault with 5.1 track compared to 155 pro rmk

I have a 11 assault with the 5.1 it is basically the same sled with stiffer suspension and a wider front end . I did move the skid mount to the RMK position. I am going to run a norrower front end because it is not as easy to side hill etc. with the wider front end .

dont waste your money on the assault !!! I've got a 2012 and yes the shocks work great but no, in stock trim even with the powder track it will not climb and sidehill with the pro.

My assault now has the skid in the pro rmk position, I have pro rmk ice age rails and a camo ex track (ripped the 5.1), ski's at narrowest setting and played with springs/shocks lots.

keep in mind I'm not say the assault isnt a good sled, I love the way the sled works now just think for the price difference I would have been better off to just buy the cheaper pro and get shocks for it.

so my plan next time is buy a pro and put exit shocks on it.

Shocks

I had the same questions and went back and forth because I wanted the assault suspension with the belt drive and narrow front end of the PRO. Ultimately I decided on the PRO and contacted Walker Evans to have them build me a set of piggy back clickers for the front. I got them for $325 each and now have the adjustability of the assault front shocks with the perks of the new PRO. I'm upgrading from an 09 assault so I'm expecting night and day changes. Is it October yet?
