Well ill go ahead and make the first post with some good news! Starting tuesday there is a storm system rolling in and looks like its going to stay till friday or so and bringing some good chances of snow, its saying maybe up to a foot. Going to change the hunting for elk up high for sure. Lets pray for a start to an early season!

Im hunting the flats by buffalo this week for muleys. Would be awesome to have some snow on the ground for that. Even a dusting

Getting the powder specials ready and loaded up for elk season. Just might need them again this year. One can only hope. Have used sleds to pull our elk out of areas 39 and 40 for the last 3 years.

Were staying in buffalo. But were hunting the powder river area mainly and occasionally the area up by ucross.

That is crazy, my parents live in ucross! And ive worked on the powder river quite a bit and seen some pretty good deer down there.

Snotel is sayin 5" at Powder River Pass and 8" up at Shell Creek....very interesting.

I came down late last night (Monday).
It was snowing, but overall it only amounted to 2 inches before it quit.

I seen the report for the snowies, looking good. But i just love checking the weather for the mountain and seeing a chance of precip for the next 6 days! Starting to get back into the right weather pattern. Although i do hope the snowies get pounded since i will be moving there soon!
