2011 Super Duty

I really like the King Ranch leather with a black carpet interior...NICE!!!!!!

new price on all of big three = out of control. add in the finance charge if can't cut a check - ridiculous.

BTW - what do people have to say about the 6.4 Ford, speaking off 'old' trucks.

Reading on the Powerstroke forums, the 6.4 has been a very reliabe truck. They had some intercoler issues and people complaining about mileage (like all the big 3). You throw a Spartan tune and DPF delete and you will have a truck that has been reporting 16-19 mpg empty. As for the 6.7, sounds like Ford raised the bar and they needed it, bad. Have been hearing some really positive thoughts on this motor but as always time will tell.

Ford just came out with update 800 fpt and 400 hp increase 2% mpg :face-icon-small-hap the power is going to be like riding a polaris .:hurt:

Sounds like good knews from the Ford camp. Now if I could just find a cat that's looking for a loaded 2006 F-250 with 22000 miles on it !!! >>>>.

Picked up a 2011 F350 Reg cab dually flatbed 6.7 for work this week, got a couple hundred miles on it.

The good:very quiet, best driving ford I have ever driven, nice ride for a 1 ton dually, nice seats for a work truck, good radio for a work truck

The bad: shifts all the time, up down, up down, every curve and small hill, and when it shift down to 1st going around a corner its very slow to up shift, engine is really revving before it decides to shift, very hard shifts, wont be fun on icy roads, if it has 400 HP and 800 ft lbs I am not impressed, trying to pass a pick up pulling a boat, had to fall back in line, I hope it loosens up with miles:yell: interior reminds me of a 1987 Freighter

I have been hearing the same thing about the shifting. For some reason Ford elected very tall gears for the new trucks. Might be good for cruising empty, but exactly opposite for towing. It sounds like the motor and tranny are doing well to this point though.

How much is it to fill that urea tank and how often does it need to be done? Congrats to ford to be able to compete with my LMM, hopefully they have there stuff together now.

Took the new truck out for its first trip got 17mpg breaking it in. Trans did not shift back and forth at all .Had to put different tires on they kept on breaking loose every time you got on it ,put more aggresive tread design. The def tank holds 5 gal I bought 5 gal for 16$ says only need to fill every oil change.

So I finally got the nerve up to stop and do some pricing . $49700.00 for a decent optioned truck that stickered for $56852.00 !! Now whos looking for that 2006 with 22000 miles on it ??? >>>>.

6.4

I have 2 an 08 and an 09 and love them but its a must to chip and dtf delete them to be able to afford to drive them. The down side to that is last week when I went to Washington to the snow show I got some bad fuel and have a bad injector and now I have to remove all my chips and put DTF back on so as to go get it fixed. I decided that I am going to sell the wife's F350 and get her something smaller. 39500.00 10k miles and in show room shape.Loaded

I have a 09 F350 6.4L i have the Spartan programmer, S&B intake and 5" straight pipe exhaust on it and i get 23MPG!!! I love my 09 6.4L. I had a 08 KR F350 6.4L it was the first batch of 6.4L to come out and it was horrible!! My new 09 has 45,000KM on it and knock on wood it is been a great truck with the aftermarket parts i put on it is amazing on fuel!!! No messing around with any urea just fuel and go for me!!!!

I got the King Ranch. $63,500. Had to add DEF at 7,500 miles. MPG average is 17. At 68 mph and keeping my foot out of it 21 to 22 MPG. No problem on the shifting. I added the Rancho adjustable shocks with the air pump and wireless remote. Well worth the money. The pump and remote are free right now if you buy the four shocks. They are not air lift. They only adjust the ride. 3:55 gearing and 20" rims. Ford got this one right.

I am Looking right now can't figure out if I want the 3.31 gears or the 3.55 gears. Man what a solid truck and great MPG's

If nothing changes this looks to be Fords new 7.3 Motor

And if it tanks, the 7.3s will continue hold their value much longer.
I've seen 7.3s selling on used lots REALLY fast while 6.0s just sit there (at at lower prices). LOL

I've pulled my 28 ft enclosed a bit already with the 3.55 gears. I'm totally impressed with how it pulls. I was wondering the same thing gear wise. Seems like the 3.31 might be a little high. It seems to hold and pull with 3.55 so a person might get away with the 3.31. Wonder what mileage improvements the higher gears would offer? In the end I was scared of high gears, slippry roads, and heavy trailer.

I think you should change your mind and buy my 08' instead.........I want to a new one too!
I will be getting the 3.31's in mine. I have the 3.55's in the 08' and they work fine. The higher gearing will make the starts a little slower pulling trailers but, they will aid in better mileage.
Sure wish I could kick the Ford dudes in the nads for getting rid of the stone interior!:boxing:
