2011 PRO A ARMS BENT

I HAVE 190 MILES AND DONT REMEMBER HITTING ANYTHING I HAVE TO GUYS I KNOW AND THEY HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WONDERING IF THEY ARE WEAK ANYBODY ELSE HAVE ANY PROBLEMS

yup bent one but i hit a stump. kno another guy hit a rock bent his and his carbide. good chance u hit something

Bent my right hand A-arm on a pretty non-event collision with a rock. In fact it was more of simply the carbide hitting the rock and the A-arm went.

They are 100% weak! no question.

Mine's an assault, and Holz dont make 'em, Polaris dont have 'em and I'm steering right for a while till someone comes with an aftermarket unit that doesnt fold like a cheap tent!

a little too much nickel in that mix boys...back to the metalurgist with the a-arms

I'd LOVE for everyone that is having trouble with them to post so we can get an idea...there may be an issue with these bits

they are the same arms as the 08=10 dragons minus the metric bushings and balljoints(swap them to the older arms)..one thing I found that will bend the lower arms is bottoming the frt suspension hard..once the shock stops moving if there is still signifigant force left it will bend the arm right between the shock mnt and the ball joint..good way to tell is the powdercoat will be flaked off...

I bent a lower left...so I put a set of ZBROZ arms on. Dropped some weight and they are way beefier than stockers...and they look great! PM me if you would like a set.

i second the z broz idea went through a few sets of stockers then ran all last year on z broz with no problems i do hit stuff quit a bit finally dented them this year from breaking off a bit dead tree but they are still straight
i think they will save you money in the long run

Bent my left side lower hitting a big rock I thought I could launch off of. Not a good ramp it would seem :face-icon-small-sho

Forgot to mention- Zbroz/ArsFx are made from 4130 chromoly and the stockers are a mild steel.

bent a arms

I went through 4 arms on my 09 dragon. I think they are pretty weak.

But i am also a bad driver according to my wife.

Me too

X2 or maybe X19 from the sound of it^^^^^

I caught a rock on the bottom outside edge of my ski. I was cutting to that side and felt a small bump. My A arm folded really bad.

I did hit a rock so hard to blame Poo but if a hit that mild can cause that much damage it has me worried about more problems with them in the future. And... from the sound of it other people are having the same issue and same bad feeling.

I am guessing Holz or Zbros will end up being the best long term solution.

Hit alot of stuff, didn't do any damage. Caught a rock on the spindle and it bucked me off. That one folded it in two and twisted the cast portion holding the spherical ball joint. I've not noticed anything like this on my 09 Dragon after a couple seasons on it, but apparently it is an issue.

Maybe there was a little "give" in the way the lower a arms mounted to the IQ Raw bulkhead compared to the way they are mounted on this current Pro bulkhead? Seems that the way the are mounted by a bolt and 3 studs on each side that any force would be directed to the bulkhead with absolutely no give at all. The way they mounted to the IQ RaW they may have actually been able to result in a bit of a flex with a return rate so that you wouldn't actually see the result of a bend after the fact. Maybe this is way way off but just a thought.

When I bent the first a arm on my Pro a month or so ago I was originaly told that they would be on backorder until Jan 7th...got a call a few weeks back that they were taken off backorder and available? Did something change again?

If you can find one of last years or any a arm from 08-10 you can press out the spherical joint and replace it with the metric one, that works, had to try it already.
