2010 M8 vs. 2009 M8 - think $1500 more is worth it?

2010 without a question....wouldn't even think about it.

You can either buy a bunch of **** to make the 09 run like the 2010, or you can just pay a little more up front AND have a year newer, more sellable sled that you don't have to fiddle with. No brainer IMO. Unless you don't have the extra $1,500....in which case your hands are tied and I'm sure the 09 will work fine too!

I snowchecked a 2010 and rode the crap out of it last winter. It has been the best stock sled I've ever ridden. I love my sled. Wouldn't trade it for an 09. I couldn't believe how good that sled did. This year it's getting boost!

The only way I would do an 09 again is if you were going to add boost. In that case i would save the money and put it towards the turbo.

Aren't the 10's more hp? Shouldn't be an issue, but I'm always leary when changes are made.

What kind of price are you getting? I bought an 08 M8 sno pro in March 08 and paid $8k for it, with a cover and 2 year warranty. I'm only guessing you're looking at paying $9k for the 09...i would guess if you sat down to deal you could get the 09 for 8-8500.

I paid $8500 for my 09' M8 SP 162 in December of 2009 for that , you should be able to get an 09' this year for $1,000 less than that even.

You would think so, but thats not the case at all. They are actually asking more than $8500 this year. Whats up with that?

I keep hearing that the 2010 will smash a 09 on the internet but i never seen that last year, they where very close. I seen a 09 HCR and two 2010, one HCR and a SE. The 2010 did have better bottom end and maybe a little better on the top but other wise nothing was getting stomped like we keep reading. They both looked fairly even on a long pull. My self i would get the 09 with a slp pipe and porting and stick with the old motor.

What are 09 M8 sno pro's with less than 1000 miles going for? Can't find a used one listed any where.

Don't know. Cant find any either. I would guess around 7,300 to 7,800.
