2010 M8 Boondocker PGTurbo Box Settings

here's my final numbers (I have the turbo pipe) 3000 -10 -10 -5 and 5000 -10 -5 0 psi 20 33 46. I've got it running very good doesn't load up anywhere now except when the engine and pipe are still cold. My egts never went over 1160 however I haven't had a chance to hold it open for more than 20 sec's on a hill yet.

How far into negative did you end up going on yours? I had mine clear down to -15. seemed to work ok there, but after hauling sled home and tried to back out of trailer it wouldn't idle till I bumped it back up to -5 . . . . not sure what is the best way to tweak this thing to get it perfect
I almost started to cry when I went to unload it for him! I would start it, put it in reverse , and it would die. So I just stood there drinking a beer and waited till he showed up. I let him think he broke it!!:beer;:)

Yea, funny:) I come walking into the trailer wondering why my sled is still in there, and here he is standing there with a not so bright look on his face LOL!

here is my latest numbers for a 2010 hcr. is anyone with a 2010 pg turbo having detonation problems? i am having a tough time getting it not to even with a 2009 head. are people retarding timing or machining out the squish area to prevent this?

thanks darren

Trying 100ll tomorrow. I get code 23 after letting off the throttle on a long pull. No way I can keep this from happening. GOOD 91 octane with Lucas octane boost is what I've tried.

joker 2; sorry man, just realized you were asking about a 2010. I am riding an 09.

FYI- 3 gal of 100ll mixed with 91 and no deto all day. 3000 lo-9 5000 lo-6 20 33 52 4000-6000ft. Can't keep the egts down on a long pull with any lower than 52 on hi. Seems a little high compared to other peoples #'s

What elevation?

Bonecracker: Thanks for sharing your Controoler box fuel settings! What elevation were you running with those settings?

If I am going to run 3 gallons of race fuel with every tank have any sense what percentage I can work those injectors?

unload at 2000ft ride from 4000-6000ft with 30sec-45sec pulls , 6lbs boost, probably borderline 91 fuel. i think the deto comes from an extra sensitive knock sensor. trips when the charge temps are high at the end of a long pull while letting off on the flipper. quick lean condition but doesn't hurt anything.

Bonecracker, you still don't have your EBC? Are you using the pressure transducer? Unfortunately my riding is going to be put on hold for a few weeks (have to go to work in alaska) I am going riding in colorado first part of feb . . was thinking about stopping by boondockers on the way down and let them tune this baby or maybe even bribe the guys at VOHK out of some tuning tips. Either way, when I get it perfect we can trade notes:beer;

So I got around to doing some good long full throttle runs this weekend, the snow was a good 2 feet deep and the hill was steep (couldn't make it to the top ) . held it down for at least 45 secs and my egts stay'd below 1230 my #'s were still 20 33 46, boost was at a low 6 psi tho. Elevation on the EBC was 5700 feet which is a little low from what I know it to be. I still haven't hit the deto sensor and I'm running straight pump gas. I can say that there is a huge difference in power from 6psi to 8 psi and I'll be running some mix in the future so I can run 8psi all the time.

I spent most of the day in tight trees and with my #'s the sleds great for boondocking. On and off the throttle lots, I mean lots, and still ran good. By far the best, most fun sled I've own'd.

Nope, no ebc. Pretty funny isn't it? Just using the transducer.

my new numbers after finding a bad det sensor
3000 lo -5 00 00
5000 lo -10 00 00
psil 17 22 34
no det at 6 lbs. can run 10 lbs on straight c-111
running awsome as the 09 did.

I find that the recommended PSI numbers by boondockers were way low. On longer pulls 30-45 sec. the sled would throw OCTN on the AC display and put the engine into limp mode. Upped the PSI numbers to 10 24 50 and it then was fine. This is at 9500ft. EGTs were around 1200.

What 3000, 5000 and PSI numbers is everyone else running?
