2010 Dear Yamaha

Dear Yamaha,

MMMM glad you sat on your hands and let the competition ride by. Wow a 21 pound weight savings mmmm if you would have bought rear skids from timber you would have saved 36lbs. No hp increase, no bigger fuel tank for mtn riders. Wow you don't listen to us anymore. Well I don't have to order a new 2010 nytro for 12,599 now. I can buy a hold over apex for 7000 super charge it and have a 300 hp sled cheaper than a new 2010 nytro. But then i can't get it in black and orange can I. Option 2 buy a 08 or 09 nytro ad timber rear skid and front end have an under 500lb nytro and still have 2 grand in my pocket to ride all next season and still have money left over.
Thanks again

X2!!!! Looks like they dropped the ball AGAIN. Timbersled, have that suspension ready to ship, will be ordering one soon. Tracks USA, have that new track ready to ship. High Altitude boost, when's a good time to bring my sled up for that turbo? I guess all the other sled makers just have to do is show up with BNG's and they'll keep their market share. Yamaha, ARE YOU READING ALL THESE POSTS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Looks like you guys saved me some money this year. Unless of course Doo comes out with a reason to trade my XP, probably not.

What the*#$%!

As a Yamaha snowmobile dealer, I feel your pain and agree completely!
The person who wrote about the timbersled mods and the hold over is exactly right on the money.

aaaaaaaaaa shat!

I have my Apex up for sale because i to thought something big was coming and so did some others.Guess almost all of us were wrong. The new Nitro is nice and has some improvements but im sure as hell not going to give my machine away and keep dropping the price for a 2010.Maybe there just screwing with us.lol

anytime " Upgraded Handwarners" are in the top 3 improvements...you know if it is a BNG year...

Looks like Canada doesn't even get an Apex this year. The price on the Nytro just kills me, here in B.C. if you were paying MSRP for a new Nytro you would be over 18K. That is crazy when you consider what boosted sleds are going for in the US.

I'm actually relieved that yamaha didn't do more. (Can you blame them with all the economic unstability a.k.a. crisis.) Now i can experiment with 2 stroke turbos and power claw tracks. Okaremas

If the mods your talking about here are going on a Yami. your going the right direction. Your not seriously thinking about boost on a Rotax(800) though?

looks like i was right about all but the hp to bad they didnt up it a little.i like what they did to the nytro they finally built a true mountain sled but the price is crazy 16299$:eek::eek::mad:now i no iam being ripped off 4000$ more than the us & built in the same place just crazy.

Float 2's, new rear air skid, new approach angle, a new single ply track, and 20+ pounds lighter, oh almost forgot about the new front end??? wider? at least they tested it:rolleyes: Doesn't that kinda sound like cat from 07-09?? It may not be that bad, not for that kinda money but I'd take that over a new doo or pol.

I just feel sorry for the guy in their innovation vid that blew a few disks trying to get that front end up http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/products/modelinnovation/625/0/innovation.aspx

Wow. I don't feel so bad now for buying a left over 08 Nytro for $10k and putting in $6k for a new suspension, front end, exhaust, track, better boards, the list goes on. I can't imagine paying $16,000 and needing, or wanting to, shell out more coin to customize, light weight, and mod.

Crappy. Glad I bought a new AC M8. I was worried for a while that they might make something crazy right from the factory, but I feel better all the way. Really wish that Yamaha would spend some time looking at these forums, taking a good hard look at what Real MTN riders want from their sleds, then go from there. I like Yamaha because they make one h*ll of a product as far as build quality and reliability goes, but then again it sucks that you need to put a 4G turbo on them to make them go where other stock factory sleds go. Oh well, maybe next year.....AGAIN.
