2010 700 RMK setup??

Just picked up a 2010 700 RMK with SLP pipe and can, V-force reeds and a set of MTX 65g. I am currently stationed in Afghanistan and I am wondering if any one has any advice on clutching or anything else. I ride at two different elevations 2,000 and 4,500 and plain on having a setup for both. By the time I get back to the states I will only have a month of riding and I want to spend the least amount of time possible tinkering with everything and work on fine tuning and getting some good ride time in. Thanks for the help looking forward to the ride.

Powder coat them rails and rear skid to match that kick a$$ front COBE bumper and she should be ready to rip. Waiting to see if anyone recommends a clutch set up for it..???????? See you at Arctic Man for a beer at the Tit!

700 set-ups

JEFFAK,

First of all I'd like to say THANKS for fighting for our country!

My hat's off to you.

As far as the sled goes, I'd strongly recommend the PC-3 or PC-5 from www.dynotechresearch.com (585)993-2777

I have a 2007 D7, the PC-3 was the best $365.00 I spent.

Jim has the correct mapping to go along with the SLP pipe, it's plug and play, it'll take approx 20 minutes to install.

He dynoed a 2008 D7 with stock and SLP set-ups on January 1, 2008, dyno reports are available on his website for a $25.00 annual fee.

Also check out the INCREASING YOUR IQ THREAD (at the top of this section) inside there, check out TECH TIPS FOR 600/700/800 CFI's Free Mods & Best Bang for the Buck!

Hope this helps

Thanks for the advice I will check out that thread. Do you have any advice on clutching setups? Will look into the PC-5, does it make that much of a difference? Appreciate the help!

JeffAK, thanks for serving the US.

With the SLP pipe and the other goodies, the WOT richness in the 700 should be taken care of so I don't know if you'd be getting much more bang for the buck with a controller. I think what you're looking for is a tip weight recipe that dials you in at those two elevations. SLP should have a good reference point so maybe give them a call at 208-529-0244. Or, maybe read this and probably subtract a gram for the combo without porting.

2000ft is kind of a tweener for the SLP setup so If you don't mind the engine being a little zingy there, maybe you can just set it up for 4500ft and spend more time riding.

I don't have advice for you on the clutching at that altitude.

I have Jim's map for the SLP piped 700, it's like 17% LEANER on top at points, that's got to make a noticeable improvement.

The pc-3 on my 2007 D7 with stock pipe was the best $365.00 I spent on the sled, period!

Jeff-
Let's wait until we get home. We will load up my parts bucket and head to P-Ville for a weekend. We can use that for a test run for Arctic Man. If we get it dialed there, you should have no probs at A-M. I do agree with Kraven, my 755 never ran right until Ithrew the Boondocker at it - then she was a scalded ape! See ya in the rear bro!

Kraven-
Thanks for the input brother - great advice, we will get him dialed!

-Dave-
