I'm sure there will be lots of people at all the common riding areas. I wouldn't hesitate to make the trip even if you can't get any offers here. Ask around in the staging area tomorrow and you will surely find someone willing to show you around. Clemina and Allen both have good arial maps of the areas in their respective cabins. :)

Thank You
Which area would be suitable for a couple of boosted sleds and make a good first impression.

I really like Chappell. Lots of gnarly areas to sidehill accross. And some good climbs if that's what you are into. It seems like I can always find fresh pow there, and they have had the best snow this year IMHO. But I also really like clemina as well..... Go for three days and check out all three! There are also a few "other" areas near valemount as well.

Wondering if any one has any snow condition updates I am planning a trip early in the new year and haven't seen many condition updated on here for awhile is it gettin any better down there?

Conditions have consistently been getting better.... hopefully some locals will chime in with a more detailed update. (Are you out there, Curtis?? :p) But if you go I have no doubts you will have a good time!!

I think we can officially call this thread dead....

anyone else get stuck in the lineup today?

I hope this thread ain't dead cause the snow was great we got back friday and the conditions were great! They even had the accident cleaned up in the pass. That looked like a pretty bad one the semi was a complete wreck! Hope to get back out there later but work has a habit of getting in the way of the fun! Chapel creek had a ton of snow we had a hell of a time getting out of the lake area.

Just came back Sunday from Vale. All I can say is WOW....EPIC SNOW!!!
I have never had such phenomenal powder. Rode Allen Creek for 2 days and Clemina for 1. Allen seemed to be better powder bowls, but visibility was tough at times. There were 12 of us, and for the first time we had guides. Best thing ever, if your unfamiliar with the area. Had been there before, but due to being socked in, it keeps a guy from exploring to far. The guide would break trail into new areas and let ya play while he went and found another bowl. Put on more miles in one day than I normally did in 2-3...
Thanks to Tony, Dall and Vinnie for 3 days of the best riding I've ever done!!
Hats off...from the Sask/Fort Mac group.

Well that is good to hear!

We go skunked on our last trip there, spent a day in Jasper due to the road closure.
Then were in Revy last weekend.

Maybe next weekend we can enjoy some of that spectacular snow! :)

Sorry Ive been away. Just not getting the numbers here anymore after it went pay...............Ill try again to see the interest

Currently snowing like mad in the ridings areas. Winds are hurricane force:face-icon-small-dis

Due to some mechanical issues we are unable to groom chappell tonight. Hopefully tomorrow for saturday

Keep checking www.valemountrecdevelopment.com for more info

I am heading to Valemount on the 26th, is there any update on conditions? This will be my first time there, any suggestions on areas to ride? Any one willing to show me and 2 others the area?

Thanks
Kyle

Just back from a three day trip. First time there for me and WOW. Hit Allen creek on friday, conditions were awesome! Not super over the hood pow, but very nice snow, not tracked up at all on friday. Heard by the end of the weekend it was all tracked up and pretty hard in there. Hit Clemina on saturday, once again awesome snow. Little bit more tracked than allen but tons of great snow to be found all over. And on sunday we went into chappell. Chappell was pretty tracked up by sunday, but we still had an awesome time, still good snow if you looked for it. Had blue bird skys and great temps. We hit it just right, but by the end of the weekend it was all pretty tracked up. Hope for snow. :)
