January Storms!

Well, the crazy Christmas rush is behind us and the January winter storms are here. I was up Blue Lake on the 1st and 3rd with only a few other groups and still found some great powder after the crowds. Now it is just dumping (5 inches today in Sicamous) and and is supposed to continue through Friday! There were some parking challenges around Sicamous during Christmas week:face-icon-small-sad but now it is a different story as things calm down. I am hoping to go out Friday and will report back:face-icon-small-hap

Owl Head

Thanks to the club members (and their friends) who came up to Owlhead today to cut firewood and do a bit of work around the cabin. Plus a new wood stove was installed for every one's comfort!

We worked hard and then spent the last half of the day enjoying 2 feet of untouched powder.. should be a great weekend.

Sicamous

What are the conditions like today. Which area is the least tracked out if I want to get in on Monday the 21st.

Thanks

And if anyone else online here is thinking of sledding on Monday any of the Sicamous area, two of us wouldn't mind joining a group. We are in Revy today and tomorrow and want to check out Sicamous Monday / Tuesday.

Thanks for any replies.

Jacques

Spring in Sicamous

I was up at Blue Lake last Sunday with 2-3 feet of winter like powder. We had a lot of precip this last week so this weekend is looking great and the trails are still being groomed! See you up there.

6 of us were up at Blue Lake yesterday (Sunday) for some amazing spring sledding. We had 6" to 2' of winter like powder to play in and lots of area to ourselves. We unloaded at about 2.5k and only had a couple bare patches to cross but the trail is pretty rough as grooming is done for the season. We had more precip last night so get up there and enjoy!
