2010/2011 Greystokes

Just stay @ big white in a chalet with all amenities, then use trail up by happy valley to the whitehouse and follow trails over towards hilton cabin and moore mt areas.
All the cabins that are in the stokes are a mostly day cabins, meaning there not meant for rentals or such,But in a pinch you can overnight in them easily....been there done that......

Go giver boys, snow is set-up and enough to explore. 1 thing I have to say though, Kelowna Snowmobile Club, GROOM THE TRAILS! If I am going to pay to play than I want to ride I trail without 3' moguls. It has never been this bad. I will ride elsewhere till this is delt with.

Re boxing day ride.Trail is fine on the way up.Could use some more snow but good in the meadows.Still not completly set up and churning thru to the bottom in some places.Plenty of fresh powder and much deeper over by larson and oshee meadows than by the hilton.Still some exposed rocks so be carefull.Lots of stucks today in our group of 6 I was leader and pushing powder up to the headlite in many hidden places.Watch the creeks some are still open in spots and its soft powder too the bottom of them

I was not talking about trail from the lower lot to the snow cat cabin, it often doesn't have enough coverage till you get past the cut block. It was the rest of the park and trails leading to the hilton, especially the Linden Lake trail. Maybe it's still too early and I need some patience ;)

Greystokes Maps & GPS Coordinates

Hey Guys

Going to Big White for a family winter holiday and would like to ride Greystokes. I saw the Greystoke map and GPS coordinates from Kelowna Snowmobile Club. Does anyone know of any more detailed versions and/or more coordinates. I like to prep a nice route before I go.

PS What is riding Mt Moore like.

Thanks:face-icon-small-win

greystokes is not a difficult mountain to navigate ,the trails are marked out well and you can always ask some of the locals for best spots. Moore mt. can be descent if the snow is good .i expect we should have pretty good pow now. If you are looking for more powder ,with a little more aggressive terrain,i would recommend owl or eagle, these hills are not so much trail trail riding, but more steep and deep. im not sure what your ride style is, i am just throwing it out there. if it is just a family ride your looking for the greystokes is fantastic.

There is a great detailed map available from the club, it has GPS coordinates to every spot in the park, much more detailed than the online version. Moore is the best spot to ride withn the park. Great boondocking around the base, with a couple small pulls, just be sure to play safe and stay off the backside down into the tree's.

Thinking about coming up to greystokes for the weekend, is the snow good up there?

Also would it be ok if i pulled my toy hauler up there and stayed the night or is camping not allowed?

This was tuesday.

Toy hauler is fine in the greystokes parking lot. tons of room to move. I honestly cant recall if camping is allowed or not.

How was it? Was it easy access for a truck and deck without scratching everything up?

How much gravel did U have to ride? I got a new motor I want to test and break in so it's ready to rock for next year.

Any info would be greatfully apprecited.
