2009 Polaris lineup NO BS

Right on! They continue the 700 RMK. Best damm sled Polaris makes IMHO. Takes my 220 lb. a$$ as high as my little raisins want to go.

700 RMK is the only 700 available in the lineup next year. No 700 121, or 136. They're killing off that case in preparation for standardizing on the new 800/600r case. I wonder if there will be a 700 version of that someday. 700 is the cat's *** for displacement IMO.

So nothing major from Polaris this year. Just emptying their part bins. Gonna be a rough year for Polaris. The 146 RMK sounds nice though. If they are getting those track lengths then they must be using different pitch setups in the RMK lineup.

Every year someone has a comment like this about one of the manuf's.

"They didn't reinvent the fuggin wheel this year, so I guess they are going bankrupt."

Usually, on 2nd year models they have killer sales. ESPECIALLY when the first year model was mostly VERY reliable, consistant and durable and layin down lots of smack. ---***ahem...Dragon8**----cough cough.

I wonder how Doo will do with 2nd year sales on the XP. LOL

Good post and I agree. The problem out West is huge lack of power and no way to fix it without destroying the realiability and staying away from race fuel. I know they can't build a 1000cc moter that works well, they proved it with the 9.

I really don't want to go with a cat but what choice do we have? All I want is a 500lb, 190+hp, floats on all 4's, pull and go, pump gas, metal bumper Polaris that doese'nt cost $16000. Good thing I have 4 kids who ride so I can still stick with poo for them, it is the BEST all mountain sled. But for me???

Hey Ericbigbore you are in the exact situation as me, I'm coming off an edge with an 1160 billet motor, just want something that feels similar in power, pump gas, pull the rope and beat it like a red headed step child.

Also, it looks like only the Dragons and Assault get the decent front end. The rest are going to be built with the existing flimsy plastic setup. They get the old A arms and swaybar too. Probably clearing out inventory before next year. Probably the last year for the existing 600 and 700 also which is why they're phasing out the 700 this year. The new 600 and 800 play on the same base. New 600 will be out to consumers next year.

It's a tough spot to be in when you love the ride of a Polaris.

Just get the m1000! I was a loyal polaris die hard.(15 plus years)
The new 800 dragon was not for me ,sold the dragon got my first cat.
Never looking back, the 08 cat runs very well.
Till polaris comes out with a 1000cc engine I'll be riding cat.

needless to say, im just a little excited about the assault...

i love the doo 146" track length, its awesome to see that in a polaris...

not to mention it comes with wider bars, and in the best mountain chassis! maybe i wont retire after this year... :)

im still torn between the m1000 (power!!!) or this assault sled for next year...

only a few more weeks till we get to see them in person!

Hey tar,
I've been looking at the m1000 real close, in fact I'm pretty sure I'am gonna buy one, but I just want to make sure it's got enough power to be well ahead of any of the new 800's reliably.
I really need to take one for a rip.

I know alot of guys going M-1 next year. I think I better snow check one or they will be gone. I love Polaris and will keep buying them to fill the trailor but you have to hand it to Cat to carve out their own market share.

i think dan g might be on a m1000 next year, pretty sure i could still his whenever... but this new polaris sounds awesome... but who knows might still have a doo in the garage next year... ughh decisions... then again we will have to see if i can find an affordable house to have money to buy a sled... yikes!!!

The m1000 is 170 hp stock,195hp is possible.
On long pulls the cat will out pull the dragon any day.
The 1000 cat is a low RPM torque monster.
