Have you been using Toluene? I know it is an aromatic hydrocarbon, but what results are you getting? Also any tuning differences? Thanks D

So far I have had no issues with belt life. Give me some more miles on it and I might report something different.

I am going with Torco because I can get it cheaper and from what I have researched it seems to be the better choice (I could be wrong - I am no expert).

This is the kind of comparison I like. Thanks. How bad does the pgtM8 paddle the 995. The 995 should be close to 190hp or so. Im like you, just want to pump up the fun factor and the pgt seems like the way to go. Is there any harm in putting one on a 08 M8 with 1000 miles on it already.

Put a race gas turbo on my bb m8 that had about 4000 miles on it, still no problems.

To answer your question about the 995 vs M8PGT...

The snow conditions played a big part in the M8s victory. Snow was 2-3 feet deep and fairly dense - spring snow. The 995 would take the turbo off the line for the first 30 or so yards and then just continue to dig deep as the M8 would get on top of the snow and pick up speed. So by the end of a 300-500 yard run up a moderate incline the M8 would be light years ahead of the 995. And obviously weight played a big part in it. Boost was registering just about 9lbs at that time...if I would have left it down around 6lbs then it might have been a race.

I gotta say that the 995 beat me in a hard pack trail race. haha

I run 110,119 or Av Gas in my boosted sleds. I have run toluene in my boat. It has Whippled 572CUIs. It was boosted to 12lbs with no ill effects running a mix of 91 octane and 25% toluene. I only mentioned the toluene due to the fact an additive was being used by the originator of this thread.

I run 110,119 or Av Gas in my boosted sleds. I have run toluene in my boat. It has Whippled 572CUIs. It was boosted to 12lbs with no ill effects running a mix of 91 octane and 25% toluene. I only mentioned the toluene due to the fact an additive was being used by the originator of this thread.
