2009-2010 Coq conditions!

lots of slides up at 10 k... including a little one that caught one of our guys. be careful up there the hills are really unstable!

We rode the Coq today and it was a beautiful day to say the least. The snow is beat to death and a lot of frost forming on the surface. The hills don't seem too bad right now but after the next snow look out. The surface frost will not make for a stable situation.

We took my 11 year old nephew back past the cabin over the saddle and all the way back to gravity bowl. he has never been on the mountain before and was riding a 06 tundra 300 with a 135 track. He had no problem climbing the hills in or out. That should give you an idea of how beat up the snow is.

My brother left his skidoo fuel jug and strap at the cabin. If anyone sees it or perhaps picked it up please contact me and I can arrange to get it.

The trail to 10K is awesome good work grooming crew.

We left the parking lot early. Some guy actually drove his truck and unloaded at about 9k.

Russ sum’s it up well, great to get some seat time in the sun but we need snow and it’s going to be ugly (avys) when it comes.

Well we had a good ride sunday, weather was spectactular, trails were in good shape given the traffic, had some fun playing in the hills but as the other guys have said we need snow!

Hey anybody going up on Sat. or Sun. looking for someone to go with. Are conditions good with the snow we had this week? Happy New Year!

Hey Paul,
riding Friday Saturday and Sunday if conditions are good on Friday.
Sent you a email with contact number.

rode 10k today 4" on road , over a foot up top, un touched beyond the saddle, sweet ride lots of pow turns, little red groomer left at 4pm to hit the henning trail, should be a great weekend.

We rode the Coq yesterday and it was fantastic. The snow was a bit heavy but there was a lot of it. I would say 18" to 24" depending where you rode. Lots of sun and lots of un tracked snow.

Brett and Jason thanks for diggin my butt out!!!

We rode back to 22k and played there for a while with Craig from RTR and a bunch of riders from kamloops.

Saw Burton XP at the cabin along with his crew. Thanks again for taking out our fuel jug last week.

Can't say enough about the grooming crew again a great job guys. Thanks again.

The new combined club is great and all of the efforts of Gerald Dave Brandon John Gary and dave W have improved the riding experience a lot. Good work Guys.

Looks like the Coq got pounded again today so maybe a trip later this week????

Later.....
