2009/10 Snowy Range snow conditions

Went out today, it was still pretty good from the last storm. Only saw 2 others up there, 2 Nytro's, 1 turbo. My buddy did find a rock pretty good on an a-arm. Rideable the rest of the day but definitely needs replaced. No biggie though, put that baby back together and get back on her! Found some nice meadows too that were untracked with about a foot of powder yet.

Anyone go up this weekend? I had heard there was good snow last weekend, and that as of this morning it was snowing in laramie. Was wondering how good the snow will be up there for thanksgiving weekend?????

Lookin good to me!

Snotel is at 29" and counting. Will be there in 10 days.:D:beer;

Just back down, rode from Greenrock around back---then through the gap. Marie had about 8 to 10" new from yesterday. From HQ park to Quealy there was not a track, 10 to 15" new. Over the gap is thin but doable and you have to be very careful around any drainages. Bluebird day, did manage to kiss a rock and do the first faceplant of the year. Didn't tear up anything though, all in all a hell of a good time

AAARRGGHHH! I'm dyin' over here! No riding yet. Damn jealous though:D.

Bluebird in the Blowies is tough to beat.

This picture is from Sunday.

Monday was awsome, add 15 inches to the picture.

Ill be riding Friday and Saturday as well. Never really hit a thing. I tapped two rocks with the track.

Looks like the backside got blasted today. Snotel for French Creek shows 12" new today, 15" new at Brush Creek, and only 8" at Sand Lake area. Looks like a good addition to what is already up there. Unfortunately I have not even made it up yet and I only live 32 miles away. Hopefully work will settle down a bit and get up this weekend.

Talked to a buddy lots of open lakes and creeks still. Some decent snow just be cautious he said. I'm headed down at 6 AM tomorrow. Give an update tomorrow night

me and my buddy just went sleddin in the unitas 40 miles away from Evanston and we found some decent snow. we were just dyin to get out but i think its still risky to go this early :face-icon-small-dis except some guys posted some pics from idaho and it looked like good snow

If you have an itch to ride, you could come out over thanksgiving and ride the roads and a few hills, only about 4-6 feet of snow I've heard, haven't been up in 2 weeks due to motor issues, but my roomates went last weekend, said snows not going anywhere, because of the cold temps right now, but since it's so cold it snowed 2 days ago and hasn't since. Roads are rideable though, just be careful getting off trail, if you don't know what the area looks like in the summer, it's hard to know where is safe, and where you will create mass carnage:)
