2007/2008 M1000 update clarification

Whoever stole jeffro's sled, let me know, i'm looking for a cheap boss seat! :p just kiddin man, thats messed up. why would anybody go through the trouble of towing out a broken sled just to steal it? atleast you had insurance though!

So has anybody rode this weekend with the 09 updates, i'm not getting my 07 flashed, till i know!

Curious to know if the update will kill the forever 4000 rpm bog?

Also, stock sled except two, 2" flow rites in the front air box, will that have too much of an affect on performance and create it to run too lean at sea level?

PS.. I am very glad to own a sled from a company that stands behind their product, no matter how many times I need to take it to the dealership, especially since my sled is completely out of warranty.

My guess is they're gonna use all the mods on their M1000 OR just sell all the parts on Ebay... fairly risky trying to sell 'em on here. They had to have some balls to do it though- towing a sled for 12 miles? Kind of hard to explain to anybody who asks why you're towing a sled you don't own.

Bummer is I still had 9 months of warranty too!

153 p-claw-stock clutching-BDX intake-y-pipe & can-stock pipe

I did not run the new flash without my fuel box-pure logic. Findings:

08 setup required 2-3 pts of fuel in bottom-1/4 to half throttle to be safe and clean up the famous lean bog-4400-5100rpm

new flash has the missing fuel already there, ended up removing 2pts and running only 1+ to clean it up.

08 needed 2-4 pts added in midrange, but the 09 only needed 2-3pts added for a good pull, little change

for 3/4 to WOT found it to be barely changed, possible 1+ already there.
Only have 35mi on new flash at 11k elev+34deg temp ave.

I ran mine this weekend after the update and it ran great. I had a bog when I went to the snowys last month and went to the big horns this weekend and it was gone. Motor all stock, Jaws can. :)

Got my letter yesterday.... Too late though- My DD took a crap on Thurs, and I had to leave it on the hill. (long story) Went back on Fri and it was GONE! Luckily I have insurance, but still, what the hell is wrong with people these days? I remember when most everyone in the snowmobiling community was cool...

I hope the cops catch those ba$tards and put 'em in jail! :mad:

My buddy ran his 07 with the reflash and it worked great also. He has a D&D Y pipe and Jaws can. He was having worse bog problems than my 08. Hope it helps:beer;

I am getting my 07 done today. I have been running the oringinal 07 flash and it has ran awesome. No bog at all but that lean spot in the mid range makes me nervous. We will see if the 09 changed anything for better or worse this saturday.

I too am running the 2007 M1000 original flash, come on people report in on the 2007 reflash update.

Can someone explain in detail what all the parts are? Also the reason for the parts? What each part fixes or helps?

I called a dealer today about the update and they told me that the sled has to be completely stock before they can do it. My 07 has a y-pipe and jaws can, but he still insisted that i need to bring it in stock. Anyone else hearing this from dealers?
