2002 edge 700 slp jetting?

SLP recomends 540s for main? This is sea level. What is everyone running? The same? Can I get away with 500s? I have a thing can and just removed air box half shelf. Anyone?

You should be able to run a lot less than 540's on a 700. Last year I was running 480's with slp single and can on my stock 800 motor.

This year I am running a ported 800 with twins and only using 500 mains. I'd drop to at least 490's and run it, just keep an eye on your plugs.

I ran a SLP single pipe on a 03 xc 800 and I believe I ended up running the same jets I ran when I was running the stock pipe. SLPs jetting is very very conservative to say the least. I think I was running 460s in Michigan at seas level.

Jet Table

Don't forget this jetting matrix and that 02 needles are different than 03's when quoting jetting you might be using. Pretty sure SLP takes this into account in their tables (the needle difference that is).

I run 500's in my 03 700 with #3 on the needle. SLP pipe and air box mod.
