1.) i purchased a slp pipe kit and was wondering if i need to do any clutching??

2.) if i wanted to convert my skid to a float skid, what all changes besides the shocks would i need to do? I'm 260lbs and wondering if the float would sag to much? I dont want a lowrider.

Skid will be fine and you might need a little more weight in yer primary with a hint more secondary tension. Then f@$%kin hold on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 07 skid with a Zbrozs shocks out perform the 08/09 float skid in my opinion especially for bigger riders.
I've tryed 4 different skids in the M Series stock float included...hands down all the coil over systems worked far and away the best.
A new air shock is supposibly being developed right now, but till then I'am sticking with the coil over skids.
The RE-10 Baker skid with a ZBROZ middle shock is the absolute nutz and is my choice right now
Got a orange stock float suspension for sale front scizzor and rear scizzor with rear shock with 300 miles on it for sale....But to be honest I dont recomeend it.
When you ride a real suspension you will be SHOCKED

In terms of clutching, a lot depends on what elevation you ride? SLP's recomendations are very close from what I hear....

weights

you will need to drop a little weight 2 grams + or -

if riding 3-6k in stead of 73s you will need about 71 + or -
pipe needs to run at 8000-8200
your power valves don't open all the way til 8000 or so

i had that setup on my 07 makes a big difference

leave secondary stock to begin with see how you like it then go from there one change at a time.

good luck

I think 15# is a little generous, and weight savings isn't everything. The float setup is okay but there are lots of better options out there. I'd save the $500 now and get a better skid down the road.

slp pipe set on m8

from the stock primary clutcing best case....7600-7800 has anyone added weight when going to the slp single pipe set.

i had to drop weight.

I did not drop any weight on the primary when I added mine. I am running the stock 75G weight at 0-4000 ft. RPMS are high at 8250 at 0 and 8090 at 3700.

I have a 08 m8 and i gained about 400 rpm just by adding the slp pipe package, i am now pulling about 8100 rpm at around 3500 ft before the pipe i was getting around 7600-7700 with 73 gram weights. I would try it out before making any changes, pipe package seems to work good with stock clutching or at least it does in my case.
