2.6 PC vs 2.5 extreme vs stock 2013 track

what all is need for a swap to a camo extreme? I have a 12 assault and want extravert drivers, just wonder what works so i can upgrade

on a 12 you need track, drivers(avid 7t)and chain case mod (cut and welded to clear drivers) also you can go with an extended chain case but the dollars start adding up pretty quick

Can someone please confirm (or deny) that the 2013 5.1 is a bit stiffer than the 2012 version? It appears and feels stiffer side by side, but i don't know for sure.

So far pretty impressed with this track. Hasn't really let me down anywhere. I like it :face-icon-small-win

The factory engineers say its the same

The Camoplast engineers say it's the same (they make the track for Polaris)

When I did a durometer test using a Mititoyo Shore-A mechanical, side by side at the same temp, both on brand new sleds 2011 compared to 2013 (the 2011 was a holdover still in the crate)... the tracks were the same in Durometer and paddle shape/layout.

I'd say that they are the same track.

UPDATE. This track did let me down a little bit. I scared the POO out of myself this weekend. climbed up some gnarly stuff, turned back around and came down hill at about 100 mph!!! 8" of dust on crust... scary.

2.5" CE on Assault

snowking
i've heard that its pretty tight fit but does work

It works I have a 2012 Assault 155 with wahls 8 tooth anti-rachets and anti stab kit. I had the competion track before and 2.5 CE is the best thing I did for riding in deep snow. I also geared it down to a tooth to a 19t gear works good hardly any top end loss.

Ive been riding with some 13 cats and that new 2.6 cat track is working VERY well in the bottomless snow. I don't have any complaints about my stock 13 pro track either though, maybe a little less than ideal for packed snow but who wants to ride pack anyways? lol

I haven't seen it mentioned yet but I ride in OR Cascade Concrete and doing the F-Bomb track mod is the best thing going by far. It stiffens the 5.1 track just enough so it hooks up awesome in ALL conditions and you gain 4-5 mph track speed (proven fact for every 1/4" you cut off - ask Camoplast). It doesn't pop up quite as fast in light pow but does fine once you're on the throttle. I have ZERO interest in aftermarket tracks after doing the mod for west coast riding! And Mountainhorse, I have the Challengers on my Doos and they're not any better (or worse, they do work well).

Have FUN!
