16 to 17 Axys differences?

What, if any, are the differences between the 16 and 17 Axys? I'm buying a leftover brand new 16 snowcheck PRO 163 and am curious of the changes between the 2 years.

Different fuel calibration in the ECU.

Black A-arms on 2017.

Otherwise, mechanically identical.

Better in every way for my type of riding.

Some Achilles' heals in electrical system-- relays, etc

Clutches need much more frequent rebuilds--I think the LW crank transmits a lot more force/ vibration to it.

Definitely worth the extra maintenance to me.

What specifically is wearing in the clutch. Weight bushings, sheave bearings or rollers?

The Axys motor creates a LOT more wear on the clutch consumable parts, I would inspect/ replace:

moveable sheave bushing
Cover bushing
Roller assemblies (pins, roller, washers, buttons)
Weight bushings
Spring

Although I am a dealer for Indy Specialties, for most reading this post they will send it directly to IS, take this next suggestion about Indy Specialties for what it is worth...

Ideally, you would send off your clutch to Indy Specialties where they would replace those parts and do a proper balance of all clutch components individually, so that if you reclock your clutch after adjusting belt-to-sheave clearance you are still in balance.
