144-155 track change/extension

Looking to extend a 144x2 600 rmk to a 155x2.4 track. Found a guy with complete skid sliders and track for $500, I know this is a good deal but how difficult is it to do a complete skid exchange? I know I have to gear down and might pull some heavier clutch weights too, but can I keep everything else te same and just swap the skid? Experience with this is appreciated thanks

The rear drop bracket on the tunnel for a 155 skid is farther back than your 144 skid. The 144 drivers are 2.52 pitch, and the 155 would need 2.86 pitch drivers. The gearing in your 600 should be 20/42 I believe so that is the same as a 155 rmk.

Okay I was expecting drivers to come up, so bigger drivers

So I would have to mount a new bracket further back an change to bigger drivers. I'm not too sure about gearing but I would ask my dealer what stock is on both. Anything else?

I'd look at avid center drive 8 tooth 2.86" pitch divers. Moving the drop bracket might be difficult. Can't buy the drop brackets seperate from the tunnel. Also you will need a tunnel extension.
