1100T cutting out

Yes the fuel pump does get loud, I checked the fuel lines everything looked good, one looked like it could end up getting kinked so i rerouted it and now it looks like it will be ok, I havent tried it yet, but am going to head out to try it here right away

sounds like fuel regulator might be sticking if fuel pumps gets loud like that.friend of mine 800 proclimb does the same thing.

Let us know. Haven't tried mine yet

I didn't get a chance to try it out today we got busy this afternoon. I will be trying it out in the morning.
we have a half tank of fuel in it, so low fuel shouldn't be a problem.

if it is the rev limiter what rpm should these sleds rev to stock?

also it does it with the stock muffler as well as the aftermarket.

the way the pick ups for the fuel pump is the front one is just sucking air anytime after 3/4 -1/2 tank when climbing that could have something to do with the pressure build up and whistling

They are smart valves they are not suppose to suck air, Right?

yes i have been dealing with this since day one.. i now have 450km on it and it comes and goes thought it was the intake and or bad fuel but now im not sure last 2 rides ram 96 octane because thats all i could get and ran good for the first half of the first day then crapped out in the middle of a climb and ran like sh*t till half way threw the second day where out of no where ran better then ever not sure whats going on or how to fix it. also after a long pull once it ran good the octane light started flashing which makes no sense since thought it wasnt supposed to come on unless the octane was to low being 5 points over min it shouldnt be going off... also have ran 91,94 and now 96... only ran 91 once but had no issues so who knows...

Mine is doing the exact same thing. Been doing this since about 50 miles. (250 mi now) Im running 91 with a half can of red Heet. Runs great for a bit then like crap for a bit. Backfires and sputters then cleans up and runs smooth but not 100 percent. Mine sounds like the BOV is going off all the time and not boosting like it should. Come and goes and has no rhyme or reason. Still goes anywhere running like crap though.

I had problems with mine cutting out, losing all power for a brief second then it would backfire and start running again. It was completly random. Come to find out that from factory they left the red wire one the positive side just inside the red boot where you couldnt see it not even attached to the battery it was touching just enough and would cut out most of the time going up hill. In my situation my gauge would completly shut off, easy fix tho

My dealer found this problem also but it didn't fix the poor running problem.

I am not sure how they are controlling the BOV on these as looking at mine the reference line from the BOV goes to a little selonoid and then back to the intercooler. So the BOV must be controlled electronically somehow rather than by vaccum. I would assume they are doing this to control spool and I am not questioning that. What I am thinking is that I found that the hose from the BOV to the little solenoid thing was extremely loose fit on the solenoid. I used a little yamabond on the nipple. I would think with a spike in boost that this hose could come off easily. The next thing would be to put a better clamp on it. But I am trying this for now. I do know know that this is causing issues as I have not had issues but I could see if becoming a issue.

I will go and check that.
We cant remember it doing it before the sled was run out of gas. then after it ran out and we put more fuel in it started doing it

Went and checked everything, everything looks good.

Figured out what it is doing. It pulls hard for one pull then throws some kind of sensor error that doesnt bring on my wrench light or engine light and then the sled is in limp mode. Will start to pull then fall flat, just about went over the handle bars tonight.
Shut the sled off for a couple of seconds and bam it pulls hard again for one pull then goes into limp mode again.

We are taking off sledding for the weekend tomorrow and stopping by the cat dealer to get them to throw it one the scanner to see what is up, and what sensor is giving us the greif.

I will keep you guys posted as to what it is

TTT

Anybody figure anything out this past weekend? I didn't because I had to work but I will be going this Friday Saturday and Sunday!!

I have the same issue. Can someone explain why charging the battery would help? Wouldn't the magneto keep the voltage up? I plan on checking everyone's ideas though. I don't believe mine is related to the fuel tank pickup had over 3/4 of a tank. But still could be a pick up issue not delivering enough fuel? Confussed:face-icon-small-dis

The reason a low votage will cause issues is the fact that the magneto can only do so much. If you are running a lightweight battery which is lower cold cranking amps you will run into issues if it is not fully charged up, it is putting it into a sort of a limp mode it sees a votage drop and figures something is wrong and it doesn't like it.
It isnt a low enough votage drop to throw a code but it is enough to cause it to run eratic. We ran into this multiple times on our drag truck if the battery went to low, it can cause some messed up things to happen and make you chase the demons all over till you are pulling your hair out

The batteries we sell are much higher cold cranking amps than stock. What I see is guys buying a new battery and just throwing it on and riding. Batteries have a memory and need to be FULLY charged before hooking them up to the leads. On ALL 4 stroke sleds it is a good idea to have a battery tender. As stated above, your sleds charging system can only do so much and it charges your battery as you ride, but slowly.

Keep 'em charged hard especially for those Swedish mornings of -20F!

Thanks learn something new, RS have you run into this issue? I have the stock battery and was planning to dig into the smart valves thinking it was fuel?

Be carefull of water in your intake too its made my 800 bog a few time now... Im still chasing leaks on my intake!
