I just bought a new 08 summit everest 154 that was left over from last year. i've already been told about the driveshaft update and they promised that it has already been done.

i ordered a mbrp can for it.

anything else you guys can suggest or recommend?

to be honest i'm just so happy to finally have a new sled, and a mountain one at that. should be a good improvement over my last one (97 mxz 670)

Make sure it has a 19t top gear(will increase track speed). Replace the rear bumper bolts with rounded Torx style(to protect track). Add weight to primary clutch(to get rpm down). Watch for hand warmers and thumb warmers. They had a tendancy to go out. Get quick clickers for primary to make it easier to adjust. Ride it and have fun, it is a great sled.

i am look at a new hold over to. was woundering what you paid, if you dont mind me asking. wanna know if I can get a good deal.
thanks

i paid 10 with a couple new belts. but i bought locally just to insure warranty work wouldn't be an issue.

i'm in canada... co... i'm guessing thats colorado.. states. our dollar is at 79 cents to yours again. i was looking at an 09 dragon as well and it was 12860 sure i could have got him down a lil but still up there.

hey is there an online pdf or how to on the xp clutches... i'm sorta new to sleds to be honest but i am an auto mechanic so i figure i can figure it out.

as for the clickers any recommendations what type?

also i see a lot of guys are venting should i look into this? and if so websites you would recommend to look for some.

i bought the 800 summit everest and i paid 9300 for it last april with 0 miles on it. i have had no problems with it except i blew a belt at 350 miles, it had the high altitude spring in the primary so it was over reving the motor and the belt got to hot, the drive shaft you are talking about has a recall on it mine has not had problems yet but its going in next week to get changed, i am looking at putting a turbo on it for that extra little zip

Hey SS, if you ride in the mountains then take a look at some sway bar quick connects (brp sells em) they are a great additional to help side-hilling and boon docking. Also, consider a DJ clutch kit. IMHO I think it's the biggest bang for your buck.

the owner of our shop and a couple other people i know up here have told me to disconnect the sway bar all together. how much would i be looking at for hte dj clutch kit/?

and my sled is getting put together tomarrow! taking her out of the box for the first time... i was promised i can pick it up tomarrow by 5. can't wait.

Gears, clutching, vents, vents, and more vents! You already know about the drive shaft. Beyond that it's all about how much do you want to spend?
