???08 Phazer, Rerverse

The reverse function works great in my shop...but out in the woods it wont work. It feels like it shifted but the engine wont rev up, the eng. does the same limp mode as if I was trying to run it with out proper warm up time. Any thoughts? Thanks Dino

Yes it does and the back up alarm sounds differant. Dino

for some reason mine will do the same thing if sled is not perfectly flat/level not sure if this is the case but all it takes is a little shimmy/hop/jump and it should engage no problem.

but as far as i know if that light is flashing its not in gear and nothing will happen but it will still beep.

The best thing is to rock it ((((( Hard)))) back and forth , that usually does it or shut it of and on again. Yamaha is working on a update something about a impregnated spline unit so it can slide into reverse easier , i am just waiting on it also ----- they are a pain in the *** that way.

Thats all you can do. Its like a rocking a quad when you stop without shifting into neutral. When the beeping sounds funny and the light flashes, you are not in gear.

Thanks for the info. Rocking the sled and or shuting down the sled and restarting is very frustating, I will see if a dealer knows of a fix. But I wont be takeing it in so they can look at it for two weeks!...it can wait till summer. Dino
