N not_a_jew Free Member Dec 6, 2010 #1 Is there a better stator than the 440 stator they come with? I think i have been averaging 400-800 miles. RMstator says they put heavier wire and double dip them, and they come with a one year warranty, is this the best bet?

G gus bohne Free Member Dec 7, 2010 #2 you have to have all lights working AND have 2 extra hand warmers in the system. When you do NOT do this the overvoltage in the system cooks the stator. There is no other way around it, thats how brp taught us to stop cooking them. Gus
