previous owner said last mapping he had done was november of 06 would that be the 07 mapping?

Dont think so, if you got a dealer nearby drop it in and check what mapping you got.
If you got any probs with plug fouling and/or bogging @ 55-6500 rpm:s it probably not 07map.

I have pipes and screen kit. Going to install head's after this rotation at work.
It's a 05 X
