It sucks--and spendy--maybe time for a 1150 kit from bikemans?? it will probabley cost less than fixing what went or close--these 1000's are spendy to rebuild

under 1000 bucks to fix unless the crank and rods need replacing. bottom end looks good SO FAR. probably run it stock again and BB if i need to rebuild it in a few years. i'd rather put a big triple in with carbs if it blows again. 1200 or 1300 triple would be sweet!!!... i'm an old school car/truck guy and a firm believer in mechanical over electronic. maybe one or two rebuilds are in this motor, time will tell. thanks for the encouragement and the good words.
