All I know is the entire town is booked solid..

There is a big minor hockey tournement that weekend and another big do at the ski hill (kids races???) That's why it's so hard to get rooms. There will be lots of kids in the hot tubs and running down the halls. I'm taking extra ear plugs so I can sleep. LOL

I just found this poll being done on the Revelstoke Times Review website, asking whether more snowmobile closures should be put in place to recover Mountain Caribou. I found it on an environmental website (Wildsight) so you know they're all over it. Everybody go there now and vote "NO"! So far the tree huggers are in the lead.

Another BIS gong show. I was at one and It was the most disorganized event I have ever seen. People going in all directions, no idea who is winning unless you are in the little circle of friends who are competeing in this thing. Go to revy that weekend but ride somewhere other than boulder, no crowds!

time to chime in, been a long time since i did this. "due diligence" which mean crap does role up hill faster than "Rated R" with a lot more power too and takes tons of money as in fines etc. so if its not a organized event then there is no trophys as they would indicate just that. advertizing? so any one who owns a business and pays for or donates advertizing would also be held accountable? so in a speed event no insurance for any one who competes. so an innocent passer by gets smashed into and sustains injuries can take legal action against the party who owns such sled? so say you own a big sled building business or electric company or dealership and this person could end up owning that business or minimum bankrupt that business after a lengthly court battle? insurance is a rip off i agree and they are cash hungery ****ers but we all make sure we buy it just in case. and heres another point so filmers come along and film this event thats not an event and rite there for the nations eyes is visual proof that its organized and great stuff for lawyers to use in a law suit oh cool just made me think of something else filmers taped get seized by the court oops no film this yr its in court for next three yrs. so thinking like i am who in thier right mind would compete advertize or organize this non event? oh wait he has no mind just a really big mouth. well can't wait to see this gong show again. oh one last question if a 1000 fans show up first how do those competeing get to be on the mountain? all food for thought and i am sure i will once again get told off so fire away.

Update on the posters -- Big Iron

Looks like all the biggest celebrities in the industry are going to be showing up at the Big Iron Shoot-Out on March 13, 14, and 15.

Friday night, we'll be down at Zala's for the gentlemen's stag. There'll be lots of door prizes: VP has donated one 45 gal drum of C-12 plus lots of fivers. We'll still up to the same old game -- Rock, Paper, Scissors -- and we'll be introducing a new game at the Big Iron to raise money for our selected charities. It will be called "Dunk the Duck". You gotta come see this, man! It's crazy! And it only costs 5$ to play. High score on "Dunk the Duck" wins the 45 gal drum C-12.

At the Days Inn, they have an executive suite that everyone can use. It's gonna be classified as the "Club House", so if anyone wants to go there and chill-out, no problem. It's BYOB which means Bring-Your-Own-Babe because the Ozone Guy is supplying all the booze that weekend in the Club House, room 213.
