All the Answers: Mountain Cat VS. Alpha One

The Case For The 2019 M 8000 Mountain Cat

This is still the best all-purpose mountain sled in Arctic Cat’s lineup. You read that right. The Mountain Cat is the sled to own for a wide range of snow conditions, any type of mountain terrain, the occasional groomed trail, the frequent bumpy mountain trail, early season and late spring. And all the less-than-perfect days in between.

The Mountain Cat is a very capable sled that’s currently being overshadowed by the Alpha One. If you rode one last year, you know. If you haven’t ridden a 2018-or-newer Mountain Cat, you owe it to yourself to see what this other flavor of 800-class mountain sled has to offer.

The engine package is phenomenal. The power delivery is perfect for mountain riding. The new clutches are perfect for mountain riding. No Cat has been as smooth or as powerful or as fun to ride as the latest iteration of the Mountain Cat.

So if you want one sled that is great for every ride from early November until you’re getting a sunburn at 10,000 feet in May, get a Mountain Cat.
