Picked my my 155 boost late winter last year and had planned on doing a 165 2.75” track for the mid winter dep snow track. So got a track and 165 ice age rails. With the poor snow conditions never replaced the 155. Now that a new season approaches I really like the look of the Lynx 3” so got one of those to try. Should be a really hood deep snow track on the boost. Weighs a little more than the 165 series 8 2.75” track. I think what little I may lose in track speed with the 3” lug, I will be see bigger gain in traction and forward movement and ground speed.

Is the lynx track just last year's track just molded to 15" wide? I really like the looks of the new track on the doo expert, the support ribs on the back of the lug are alot thicker.

It’s a new track, supposedly. It has the lug pattern and ribs of the 2022 Doo track.
I was informed that it has been updated and will retain lugs.

The new expert track looks like this, back ribs look almost double the thickness, also the middle lugs are not centered, there staggered a bit and have a slight cup. Our doo dealer only has experts in right now so I could not compare with lower modes.

I'm sure it will be great but with the ribs on the back it looks eerily similar to the '07 doo powder lite track that trenched like crazy. Just poking fun.

Tony, that looks like the same lug as 2 year old cut down doo track. The print on the top of the belt is different though, that track works good in my opinion.

They did trench and hooked up hard on hard pack. A lot of that was due to suspension design.
I loved 07 xrs track for most stuff just wasn't good in deep snow. Got in a 4 foot dump on superbowl Sunday and it didn't want to crawl on top. Just wanted to auger. Gad an ez ryde on that sled

Camsno 165x3” 55lbs (16” wide), Lynx 165x3 52lbs (15” wide). Pretty close if they were both 15” wide. The Lynx/300lx has more paddle support on the back side of the lug compared to the doo. at least from the pics, the Lynx and 300lx look identical.

This is the new skidoo expert full rod track, you can see the center lug is offset now, its kind of hard to see the slight cup in the lug, and the driver windows are bigger also.

interesting the revert back to the rear supported lugs, 08ish looking. i also remember the chat of years past when guys were upgrading to a flat paddle saw-tooth tip design. which one will stand test of time? doo's o.g. 'challenger' style paddle has had a great run, hard to beat imo.
