Does anyone know the diffence between a Team TSS98 & TSS04 secondary? I'm looking at upgrading my button secondary to a Team and I've found a couple TSS98's and TSS04's. Just trying to figure out what you'd be getting for paying more for the TSS04.

Team clutch's

The TSS-04 is a Light Weight Clutch compared to the TSS-98
Less rotating mass= more hp
The Helix's don't interchange between the two

The newer TSS-04 is approximately 1 pound lighter than the older TSS-98.

I actually have a TSS-04 for sale if you're interested. I had it on my 2002 EDGE-X 800 with stock pipe and some bolt-on mods, heads, v-force, etc. for 1 season, traded the sled in with the stock secondary. It is FOR a keyed shaft, NOT for a splined shaft.

SLP wants $ 269.00 for the secondary + $109.00 for the helix + $19.95 for the spring

I'll sell mine for $ 175.00 w/o helix and spring. Or $ 225.00 COMPLETE. Helix is 70-42ER.46/70-44ER.46 (SLP part # 50-90 for use with electronic reverse) SPRING is a 140-200 Red/Dark Blue (SLP part # 50-4)

Still in the original box!!

I would argue that is not an upgrade... unless more belt heat and less top end is your defnition of an upgrade ;)

the clutch is building up a lot of heat and does not seem to backshift very fast. have been comparing it with my 08 dragon and 07 600. his sled is a 03 edge and we just put on a 159 track on it with big wheels and it is geared down.
