Zbroz or Raptor springs?

Like the title says I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with raptor or Z brothers spring kit to go over the Walker Evans shocks I know this is a Ford versus Chevy type thing. I am wondering if its a good upgrade since i dont have enough money to get the full shock package etc.
Mainly Trying to see if it is worth it and see which spring kit would better suit me.
This would be going on a 2012 pro. Thanks

I bought the Raptor springs for my sled last year and they were great...

Made the small studder bumps way smoother through the bars. On the big stuff they may have helped a little. It's hard to give those multirate springs a fair judgement when my shocks were wore out by 400 miles.

For the money I'd say it's a great improvement. Especially when you're not pounding moguls as hard as possible like I did at the beginning of the season.

I went with a rebuild & revalve of all 4 Walkers on my Assault by Raptor plus his triple rate spring kit, all for about $500. Got it put back together a few weeks ago and it feels much more compliant and fluid than stock... at least in my garage. I couldn't afford a full set of shocks either so this seemed to be the best choice for me. IMO if you're going to buy a spring kit, you might as well freshen up your shocks too because you'll want to know that it's all "good to go" before you decide how well just the spring change works for you.

I went with the "soft". I'm 205lbs.

As Jake explained to me, the only difference between the soft and firm packages are the rear spring. And the final rate on all of the soft springs is heavier than stock.

X2. I got the "standard" also. I'm about 250 and jake had me start at 10.25" preload for the rear shock. The standard is 11" free and the firm is 12" free. The other 3 springs are the same. If the standard bottoms out too much ill get the firm rear spring and go from there.

I ran the raptor springs last year, and it was a HUGE improvement for me over the stock springs. I'm a light rider (160lbs) with no sway bar, I had the factory springs cranked and they couldn't hold a line carving, and would bottom out. I set the raptors up as per jakes instructions and haven't had to touch them since. On the rear, I couldn't get the factory springs to hold my skis down (Running full HO Boost-it turbo kit) again setup the raptor springs as per jakes instruction and I couldn't believe the difference the springs made. After running this setup I will without a doubt be running complete raptors in my skid this upcoming year. Highly recommend the raptor spring kit.

Right on!!

I am more than excited to be running the full KMOD skid and Raptor shocks all the way around this upcoming season.

If anyone is interested in used Raptor springs for cheap, PM me.

Edit: They're sold.

Pick for your style of riding... for the majority of your riding day.

This is my opinion...

RMSHAW... HUCKING... JUMPING "style" of riding ->> Z-Broz

All others and the occasional drop or jump ->> Raptor

Jake, owner of Raptor, has put a lot of effort into his spring design and makes great product that is simple and affordable upgrade for those interested in improving their ride...

If you have a lot of use on your sled... you still need to send the shocks in for service before the season starts.

You can send them directly to Walker, into Holz, Carls, Tri-City or Gas-Shock-Repair in Rigby ID. for the service... should be around $30 per shock.
