ZBROZ 36" REVIEW

TREE MAGNET

Just finished installing a 36" zbros on my 13 pro. Who has experiance with this kit? where you running the ski spacers?

Center

I placed my skis centered. Due to snow conditions I've only put on around 165 miles but it's sure a fun set-up once you get used to the tipping point. Took it all the way over a few times in the beginning, but once you find it, man you can go places and do things on a side hill much easier with less input.

I run my skis in the center. with bushing on each side. I also run the SLP SLT skis.

if you have the exit shox I also highly recommend moving your spring preload as tight as you can get it. Im currently running in the 6th clip down, riding partner is in the 7th clip (you gotta have super human strength to get it in the 7th clip...)

Doing so will allow you to have more stability on trails and it wont feel so tippy.
You dont lose any turning or control properties. Adjust shocks accordingly after you reset the preload.

if you have the stock shoxs tighten up preload as much as you can!

I have my skis set to the wide setting running floats. Really like them. Too bad I found a rock today, f'n hammered it hard enough I broke the upper heim also. Love the fact that replacements are cheaper than stock.

I'd disagree on cranking the preload, it'll ruin the ride quality. If you're worried about stability on the trail don't buy a 36".

I have my skis centered.

Also they save you 2# 12.9oz!

Lol ummm yea I'm on the skinnest because I bought a 36" kit soooo I run at 36"
This definitely isn't for the trails at all I've even got raptors valved for no swaybar with triple rate springs.

I love the narrow stance so easy to throw around.
I'd strongly recommend at least they're spring kit made for this narrow stance.

These these are strong to I bounced off a lot of rocks and stumps that ripped me off the sled and they were fine.

Rode pretty tight stuff this weekend and it is amazing how who can move this skinny bitch around. Skies set at center. springs tight 0 . 5" after preload on there 175 dual rate springs. Not a trail sled but it will get you to the step and deep

I ran the Zbroz set up for 4-5 rides. Like the stock width better. I have a 163" track FYI. I don't really feel that the sleds rolls over any easier and it definitely panels out quicker. The sled doesn't carve as well either. Only advantage I found was the sled would fit in between tighter trees, lol. The Zbroz stuff is REALLY strong. I hit a decent sized tree pretty hard(hard enough it would have ripped the ski off with stock arms) and all it did was dent the lover arm. Didn't even knock the skis out of alignment. I am going to go with the stock width Zbroz stuff or stock width ti stuff.

I gotta say i love my 36" setup!
Wish Polaris could understand and do something similar.
Just gotta make the panels more narrow!:face-icon-small-coo

I love my 36" front end as well! It is night and day different than the stock width and much easier to carve and side hill in technical terrain. Its like riding a completely different sled. I won't be going back!

I got a set with the underside reinforced, even though they protested that it wasn't necessary. I bent several that weren't. I would not buy them unless they agree to reinforce them.

I still managed to break one even with the extra brace the other day. It was a hard hit and would have bent any A arm IMO, even broke the upper ball joint, no damage to the bulkhead or tunnel. I believe this is the right balance of strength vs fuse to avoid damage to the sled.

What shocks are you running? So I take it they don't plan on reinforcing the new style then? I tend to hit stuff lol

Rode one down in Utah a few weeks ago. It was a trip for sure, almost too easy to side hill. Got it to panel out but I was trying to do so. Easy to slide down on its side. If I get board next year I might get a set to play with, but for now I'm liking my stock setup better for all around riding.

I've got 250 miles of rocks and stumps that say reinforcing is not needed.

Seriously I was tossed over the bars twice and thrown off the sled a few more times...I couldn't be happier with the strength at this point.

Running Floats with them, and you will have to ask for the reinforcement.

You can do what ever you want, our group has gone thru 5 so far this season. I refuse to own a set that weak, it's a bitch trying to get sleds out of the backcountry that you can't steer.

36 '' A ARMS

does a guy have to change the shocks to run the 36'' arms? and their site does not specify for a 2013 modle. will these arm work on a 2013 modle?
